Here in Wisconsin we just had the report from the DNR on the deer population after one of the coldest winters in history. And it, like all cold winters, was devastating for the deer. The number of deer killed from the cold was much greater than average. So much for the “truthfulness” of this garbage report.

From the report:

Overall, roe deer numbers in France are still increasing, just at a much slower pace. The worry is that the population will start to decline if climate change continues though the coming decades, Gaillard told The Verge.

So deer population is increasing but not at the same rate. And a "worry" now passes for a scientific conclusion.

I hope these people actually know something about deer populations, they're notorious for expanding and then collapsing ( See St Matthews island)

Also it's a well established fact that in the presence of increased CO2 plants grow at a much faster rate. So more forage gives the mothers less to eat?How on earth did they account for all the other variables. Did they look at predator populations to see what was happening to them ?

The Roe deer will adapt. Births will go down for a time, but over time the survivors will be the offspring of those who adapted best and as time goes on and such survivors dominate the Roe deer population the Roe deer birth rates will come back up - barring any other adverse conditions, such as shrinkage of habitat in response to growing human habitat - the MOST LIKELY CURRENT CAUSE of more Roe deer offspring surviving.

Deer? LOL. Deer are one of the most adaptable animals in the world, except when it comes to dodging cars.
