Another Bush for President thread #181
Your counts off. It’s #182.
You missed one somewhere. :>)
What if it's Walker or Perry?
Ken Mehlman, a closeted homosexual, was selected as RNC Chairman on el Presidente Jorge Arbusto II's watch. He has since come out and is a powerful supporter of homosexual special rights. Hard to imagine he is still a Republican.
Anyway, I will not cast my vote in 2016 for Jeb. If he, or Christie is the best the GOPe, under Reince Priebus' "great retreat" watch, can produce, then it is time for the GOP to close shop. Hillary will win and that will be the final nail in the U.S.'s coffin. The Millenials cannot be depended upon to support the GOP and the base may well not turn out, again, to support the less worse candidate. You would think the GOPe would get the message after Dole, McCain, Romney ...
It is getting late for a conservative candidate to rise to the surface. It seems candidates need longer lead times since 2007 (when Hillary 1st announced) to raise the cash required. Due to demographic shifts, 2016 will be last chance for a Republican to be elected POTUS.
It is later than most think ...
Yep. And that's pretty much what I wrote in post #1 (and post #2, come to think of it.)
I sat with a recently retired CFO of a major US construction company a few weeks ago. He supported the Chamber of Commerce line. His argument was all about deportation. (He'd been CEO or CFO of a couple of decent sized service industry type corporations.)
What was he concerned about with deportation? He said, "If we actually started an immediate deportation program directed at every illegal, then the economy would collapse." He claimed they were in 11 million or so jobs in the economy.
That was his only argument. He was fine with deporting over a 10 year period so it wouldn't all come crashing down at once. I said, "We have enough unemployed to cover it."
He groaned. "Most of those won't actually work if you did hire them. Just throwing your money away."
I have no way of knowing if his response is typical. He's the only retired CFO/CEO that I know.
The reason they don’t learn from history is echo chamber arrogance. They’re the elites.
Stay Out Da Bushes.
Which Bush? There are four out in the public’s eye, you know.
[ Conservative Leaders For Jeb Bush? ]
“Conservative” Leaders For Jeb Bush?
Fixed your headline
Actually it’s CHQ’s headline. :>)
“What if it’s Walker or Perry?”
I have concerns about both. At this point, they are “maybe’s” in my book. I won’t give them an emphatic “no,” right now, but would definitely need to have some issues clarified.
That said, I wouldn’t join a conservative coalition behind either. I see other potential candidates that are heads and tales above them and would not want the distraction of considering questionables.
[ Stay Out Da Bushes. ]
The whole “New World Order” crapitalistic family can go shove it, they had their chance for greatness and they blew it big time on behalf of their internationalist cronies, screw them.
They have done nothing but weaken us through their mismanagement and slowly undid all the greatness that was Reagan, they had their chance. Having to “abandon the free market to save the free market” did it for me... No More
I think we’re gonna have Walker, Perry, Paul, Cruz, Santorum, Christie, Bush, and some yet unnamed female in the race.
Santorum is an instant loser. Christie too.
Cruz has a money issue in Texas if Perry runs.
That leaves Paul, Walker, Bush, female.
All 3 men are soft on amnesty.
“What was he concerned about with deportation? He said, “If we actually started an immediate deportation program directed at every illegal, then the economy would collapse.” He claimed they were in 11 million or so jobs in the economy.”
Which proves that once one gets into the elitist circles that most executives travel, ends in a huge disconnect from logic. We have the lowest work force in 30 plus years, well over 11 million unemployed. He was simply espousing a “this government policy is good for my company, so let’s keep doing it” CEO speak.
I see the same in the upper level corpororate officials in my company. Many of whom are so disconnected that they don’t even have a concept of how inflation creates an increase in the cost of goods we have to purchase.....
When it comes to real life, corporate officers are morons.
Like I said, he’s the only CEO type that I know, so I can’t gauge if that’s the same line that the others are using.
He also said some things that are unprintable when talking about the unemployed, but he’s an Irish Catholic so I’m betting you can imagine.
Since Bob Dole, maybe even before to GHWBush, we’ve been sold the hoax that electing mediocrity is better than electing democrats, and that continuous mediocrity in the GOP is the path to excellence in the party.
No more. No Bush or no vote.
All the objections to Jeb Bush are valid, but the one that is going to sink him with moderates is his name, and the one that is going to sink him with pro-lifers is Schiavo.
Maybe he’ll get the votes of those who don’t care how many people just walk right in to this country and don’t care about the brainwashing of millions of American children.
I’m not going to suddenly change my mind if he gets the nomination either.
“I think were gonna have Walker, Perry, Paul, Cruz, Santorum, Christie, Bush, and some yet unnamed female in the race.”
Maybe. Don’t forget Kasic and Huckabee....blech.
“Santorum is an instant loser. Christie too.”
I like Rick and despise Crispe Creme Christie and I agree that both are losers in the general.
“Cruz has a money issue in Texas if Perry runs.”
“They” said the same thing in the Senatorial race that Cruz pulled off.
“That leaves Paul, Walker, Bush, female.”
Maybe. Paul and Walker would contend. Bush would lose. I can’t speak for a yet to be named female....
