It’s the 4XL women that wear tights and leggings, and equally tight tops that I don’t understand; I they think they look goooood.
I’m all for some modesty, but sometimes people take it way too far. As an example, did you see those two young women who had their poster stolen by the woman college professor? That is an instance where I think dressing so prudishly actually hinders the message they were trying to present.
Had they been dressed in a more feminine, stylish manner, I think they’d be more effective.
Went to an all boys Catholic high school where jacket and ties were required.
What most did was keep the jacket in their locker, along with their gym stuff and only took it home at the end of the school year.
“I dont know how you expect male high school teachers to keep their hands off when they have to look at that every day. Sorry, but thats just how it is. Too many girls dress like street corner whores”
You seriously don’t mean this....
You don’t expect male high school teachers to have self-restraint?
The problem is we tell the girls how to dress and the boys get to do whatever they want. Sounds like the Taliban is involved,,,
What did their clothes have to do with anything?
BTW, slutty is NOT feminine
We should expect adults to keep their hands off the kids, if they cannot they should have zero access to to them
“Leggings are not appropriate school attire for grades K-12. Probably not for college, either, but certainly not for younger girls. I wonder how the mothers would feel if ALL the kids, boys included, wore skin-tight stretch pants that show every bulge.”
Depends on what is worn with the leggings. Some males do wear skin tight jeans precisely to show every bulge. Some kids are able to deal with that ‘distraction’...some aren’t. Lessons in self control are just begging to be had here
She’s a bad mom because her daughter goes to school in a SHIRT that doesn’t cover her bottom? That’s ridiculous.
Sounds to me like a lot of people want to blame their inability to focus on the GIRLS and their clothing.
Disgusting.
I really don’t understand the need to have a SHIRT cover a girl’s bottom. I see the need for a SKIRT to cover the bottom. Do you require the males in your life to have shirts that cover their bottoms ?
If my daughter ever looks at me sideways for something I have on (because of my age) I just tell her......I look better than most of your friends in these clothes. lol
“We should expect adults to keep their hands off the kids, if they cannot they should have zero access to to them”
I agree. That’s my point. The other poster was saying they weren’t sure how anyone could expect the male teachers to show restraint after seeing how some of the high school girls were dressing.
It’s like many here just want to put the girls in a burqua and be done with it! Not a peep about how the boys should dress.
Best worn with sneakers.
Of course, you must see how your chosen sentence structure can be read in different ways. I know what you mean, but to be sure, I do not have an "inability to focus on girls".
But I do support school uniforms.
I’m trying to remember if I wore it in daily or not or stored it, but my CRS has gotten the better of me. The Marist brothers who tought in the RC HS I went to for the first 2 years would not put up with it being not on you in class.
I do remember taking a NYC bus to school and being able to tie a tie while either sitting or standing on a moving bus.
Sometimes I think having school uniforms isnt such a bad idea.
Moved to the burbs grades 11 12 and a public HS. I wore what I pleased. But considering the current mess in schools today. Uniforms or business dress would be a good start.
And decaf.
Suits!!
I would say their clothing was just about the polar opposite of slutty. Not burkas, but not too far away from it without having the head and face coverings.
And, there is nothing I wrote that would lead a sensable person to claim I was equating slutty with feminine.
They are banned because you can read lips. Not a good look on young or old.
Can you imagine the reaction of boys to having to wear a suit to school?
“They are banned because you can read lips.”
Not unless you are looking at them.
