Nothing new.
The White Castle in Dekalb, IL has been doing this for years. White Castle is more romantic anyway.
That’s why I eat at the local taco joint ;)
I happen to like McDonalds. Haven’t cared about Valentines Day for over 20 years.
Dat’s one of the Wost Ideas ever.
With this Clown in office of President of our country, next year reservations at soup lines will be the New Normal.
Not everyone can afford a dinner at a nice restaurant for Valentines Day...
“Not everybody is rich.”
Actually some of the mom & pop restaurants have salad, soup, entre, and dessert for about the price of a meal deal.
McDonald’s in Florida?
Does the shooting start if they get the order wrong?
When our kids were little, we had a romantic Valentine’s dinner for four, at Sizzler ;)
For the same price of McDonalds, I make a good attempt and cook at home with better results. That’s not because I’m a great cook. I’m not.
I would get at least a sock in the jaw for seriously suggesting McD for V-day. I would rather go to 5 Guys or Smashburger instead.
I already got my present for my sweetheart.
An assortment of cleaning supplies and a new toilet brush. She’s gonna love it.
True love at McD’s beats dinner for two at Lutece with someone you don’t love.
“5 Guys”
Best french fries on the planet!
We have a chee-burger - chee-burger by us, the burgers are very good, it’s all angus beef. The onion rings are excellent, the fries, however, are just eh. Oh yeah, and you can only get pepsi, no coke. They do make shakes, but I’ve never had one. Next time I gotta try one of those.
My favorite French fries come from a local place on the other side of Columbia that appears to be the only one left that makes good fried filet of flounder as well. It’s called Grecian Gardens and typically I get a carryout order or two over the course of a typical weekend.
Well said.
I esp. like this “romantic McD” idea for the younger set. Who knows, it may open their eyes to new ideas, like... table manners, decorum, and even a skosh of formality.
Particularly since Lutece has been closed for ten years. ;)
Just being cheeky. I understood exactly what you meant, and I agree.
We did this when I was working at the Mickey D’s at Dobie Mall in Austin back in 1975. Nothing original anymore.
