It has to make one wonder if those in law enforcement have noticed the widespread growing distrust of government and its agents. Please watch this video closely. The cop kills a pretty much docile dog and is pissed off about it at the end. Before that tragic ending though, note how they make sure it is captured on camera. I guess they take that home for their children to enjoy.
STOP! Don't wag your tail!

The grand jury based their decision on what the cops told them.
The dead guy had no say.

Nah, I hope they hurt like Hell. Yeah, this poster may be in trouble down the road. Still time to correct though.

There’s not enough information given to say either way. And my “position” is that all the “all cops are murders” ignoratio elenchi is foolishness.

I will agree with you on principle, but the fact that it was the officers negligence of going to the wrong address that caused the killing to occur should be taken into consideration.

Evidently a number of bad judgments and errors were made on both sides. And all of these should be taken into consideration. Maybe they were and hence no charges.

But that's based on only the shooters side of the event.
The other side was unable to speak.

Your comments are a bit inconsistent. But the fact remains, they are both based on what the shooter alone said as I do not believe there were any eye witnesses to the actual shooting.

Yeah, the only one side is available to tell the story and unless there’s something to the contrary that’s what there is to work with.
Did the cop shoot unnecessarily? Possibly and no one may ever know. I wouldn’t hang’em high without some very convincing evidence, evidence that may never come to light or even exist.
I expect the dead man’s family would rather he had stayed in the house.

I expect the dead mans family would rather he had stayed in the house. Ah...I would expect the dead man's family would have rather the cops had gone to the correct address.
I expect the local government/tax payers, there will be paying an extremely costly settlement.

If the details in the article are correct I gotta go with the cops on this one. Someone points a gun at me I have to assume theyre going to shoot with a very good chance at killing me. No way Im going to just stand there if I were a cop. Here's an idea, Braveheart, go into your neighbor's yard in the middle of the night, and if he pulls a gun on you, shoot him.
