Re Yosemitest's map at post # 20:
It's not quite as simple as indicated on the map.
There are a few upstate counties, most of which contain decadent modest-sized cities, which are definitely 'Rat.
On the other hand, Richmond County (Staten Island), within NYC and which you colored blue on your map, leans Republican and has a GOP congressman and some GOP state legislators. Problem is, with only 5% of NYC's population, it has minimal representation in NYC government - which is why there was a strong movement for secession from NYC about 20 years ago.
Also, the NYC suburban counties (Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, and Rockland), which you colored blue, are actually purple. Some have Republican county executives, congressmen, and/or state legislators.

The way that Dems talk today is exactly how Hitler spoke back in the 1930s..no different, except they havent demanded we be put in ovens..yet..I say yet because Ive heard enough liberal jackasses online say Conservatives should die...Conservatives are the new Jews, and its scary to think that history might repeat itself one day. You know your history, Sarah. Hitler's talk about Jews (and other "enemies of the German people") actually started in the early 1920s, even before he wrote down his ugly thoughts in "Mein Kampf" (while imprisoned for stirring up riots). Most people back then who were aware of him scoffed at his "rhetorical excesses." Germany, they thought, was too refined and culturally advanced for anything so sinister as Hitler was talking about to become a reality. Little did they know what was to unfold.

The Archdiocese strikes back-sort of. Questions for Roman Catholic FReepers re Cuomo:
(1) What would Cuomo have to do to be excommunicated from the Church and how close is he now with his rhetorical outburst?
(2) Which Church official(s) would have the authority to excommunicate him if deemed appropriate to do so?

1) What would Cuomo have to do to be excommunicated from the Church and how close is he now with his rhetorical outburst? While I cannot speak for either of his bishops, you need to remember that Cuomo has self-excommunicated himself from the church. Excommunication of public officials is rarely used any more. Check out the list of all who have been excommunicated from the Catholic Church since the 1st century. The majority are religious.

Don't 'cha hate it when you scan something too fast and assume you read and comprehended it, but really you assumed WRONG.
That map has NOTHING to do with DEMOCRAT/REPUBLICAN and is NOT an election map.
Go read it AGAIN, and this time CLICK ON IT, and read the BILL actions.
And finally, don't "ASSUME" ~ because you know what 'they' say about "ASS-U-ME"

Cuomos a homo.
That reminds me. In 1986 when the late Mayor Koch ran against Mario Cuomo, aka Il Sfaccim in the Dem primary for gov his hired goons drove all over NYC with bullhorns shouting "vote for Cuomo not the homo!" You raised a fine boy there, Mario. The shiite doesn't fall far from the bat.

Compare Cuomo to George Wallace
What's the difference?
Beck to Megyn Kelly:
Cuomo Sounds Like George Wallace When He Tells Conservatives to Leave NY ( 4:45 )Jan 21, 2014
Glenn Beck made a return visit to Fox News on Tuesday night, chatting with Megyn Kelly about Andrew Cuomo inviting "extreme" conservatives to leave New York. And Beck, who wrote an open letter to Cuomo about his remarks, couldn't help but think that Cuomo sounded an awful lot like George Wallace railing against Martin Luther King Jr. and his allies.
Beck was astounded that Cuomo would dare suggest it's near-impossible to be able to "live with people with different points of view." Kelly added that while New York is a blue state, it had a Republican governor right before Cuomo came in and he should be "respecting minority rights."
Beck told Kelly that Cuomo "sounds a little like the governor of Alabama" when he said that Dr. King should "get out of the state." He asked, "We can't have a free exchange of ideas because you don't believe we belong here?"

Just what exactly is an “extreme” conservative anyway? One who is against murdering babies? Oh how extreme of me. One who is for using a gun to blow the brains out of someone who wants to kill his family? Oh how extreme, it’s better to be a victim isn’t it. One that is against Marxism and is for capitalism? Oh how extreme. One who is for treating blacks as equals rather than mentally challenged morons who need constant government support? Oh how extreme of me.
