I don’t buy it.
“But 55,000 images provided by the photographer, who fled Syria after passing the pictures to Assad’s opponents, show emaciated and mutilated corpses.
Bearing signs of torture, some of the corpses had no eyes. Others showed signs of strangulation or electrocution.”
Guess it’s okay since he was tolerant of Christians / s
Not my problem.
Nancy Pelosi was unavailable for comment.
Exacty!!!!!!
It’s all good. Assad didn’t use chemical weapons here.
We know Assad has supported terrorism for years. I wouldn’t have a problem removing him.
But replacing him with what?
I’ve heard Israel’s stance is they support the rebels because the rebels aren’t linked to Iran. They’d rather have bad guys who aren’t linked to Iran than bad guys that are linked to Iran.
OMG!! We should go to war to help the other side! The ones who hate Christians and behead, and spread terror, and fly the black al qeida flag. McCains friends!
The ones we are helping in secret.
Yes all the shaky states must be eliminated then in the vacuum the Saudis can fund their wahhibist villainy and then DC can fund their three letter agencies to “combat terrorism.” What a racket
Israel’s support for any Salafists/Islamists is a short-term expedient for which the long term cost is not worth it, as they once found with their early support for Hamas as “better” than Arafat. Arafat was simply a “Palestinian ‘nationalist’ thug”, while Hamas is a bunch of Islamist thugs with a trans-national Islamist agenda.
Muslims killing Muslims. How is that bad?
Removing Assad is necessary as a means of isolating Iran.
But if you replace him with Muslim Brotherhood, you haven’t gained much.
In the press coverage of the Saudi intel chief and his meeting with Putin, he pointed to Egypt as the example. They would use the jihadists as a battering ram against Assad but they would not be allowed to rule. He implied that the military coup that removed Morsi was their idea and is what would ultimately happen in Syria if the jihadists won. Do I believe that?
Can you trust the Saudis? Meanwhile, the battering ram is slaughtering Christians.
I certainly wouldn’t put systematic torture beyond Assad as he has always ruled by fear. Is he worse than the Al Qaeda rebels? No but it doesn’t matter, our only legitimate interest there is in arranging some form of asylum for the Christians and others in a third country (not here directly - it’s too hard to vet them).
To build radical Wahhabi Mosques and fund terrorism all over the world, and contribute to US politicians? Yes, but to fly commercial passenger aircraft, not so much.
Caesar told the inquiry team his job was to take pictures of killed detainees though he did not claim to have witnessed executions or torture.
“There could be as many as 50 bodies a day to photograph which required 15 to 30 minutes of work per corpse,” the report said.
The photographs allowed a death certificate to be produced without requiring families to view bodies, and also confirmed that execution orders had been carried out, the report said.
Families of the dead were told that the cause of death was either a “heart attack” or “breathing problems”, it added.
So take pictures so someone could produce a death certificate? I’m sorry but am to assume that whomever it was issuing the certificate knew all the dead by face? The story may be true but if so the whole system there seems really stupid.
The stupid hurts.
Your option help Al Qaeda a know enemy who attacked us on our own soil kill Christians instead. Gee, there is even a name for that.
Reuters has reviewed the report but it was not possible to determine the authenticity of Caesar's photographs or to contact Caesar.
So Qatar, which has been financing the terrorists so it can pipe its only natural resource, natural gas, through Syria to Europe, has its London lawyers present images of tortured dead people to the press just before the U.S. and Russia get together to decide what to do about Assad. They find three former war crimes prosecutors, out of dozens, who, for a fee, interview the purported photographer and declare him credible.
Qatar has gone from false-flag chemical weapons attacks against a pro-Assad Damascus neighborhood to suborning a rag-tag group of susceptible lawyers. Qatar's modus operandi is belied by similar facts. These spurious allegations come from the most violent group of bloodthirsty taqiyyah-practising dissimulators in the Middle East.
I'm beginning to understand why Assad and his father needed to act the way they did.
This just reinforces why the U.S. should stay out of Syria.
