Meanwhile, those looking for the goodies that De Blasio intends to hand out will flock to NY. Soon, the state will look like Detroit, hopelessly in debt.
This is why we are a great nation of individual states: The forefathers were wise to see that individual states should have the freedom to decide how they should treat their citizens, who are free to leave for another place if they so choose.
The only danger we have is the creeping feds taking over of rights reserved for the states. Once they have control, people have lost their freedom to move as their only choice would be the difficult task of moving out of the USA.
The South was very correct in fighting for the rights of States to preserve the fundamentals of the Constitution which limited the role of the federal govt to certain activities, preserving those unspecificed to the auspices of the states.
We need to continue this fight in order to preserve liberty.
BTW, my belief is that the citizens of states who allow those like Cuomo to destroy their wellbeing will ultimately rebel and throw out these types in order to regain their prosperity.
We had an offer to visit NYC and were really considering going. Then, Mr Commie Mayor got elected. That, and their Guv’s anti-conservative statements have changed our minds. Why take TX $$ to NY?

Or, like most democrats, doesn’t give a damn about anyone who doesn’t support their liberal/socialist utopia.
Many of the small towns upstate are as conservative as any in the country and the people are as patriotic, independant and self supporting as you will find anywhere.
They are just outnumbered and overwhelmed at election time by the Democrats’ Free S**T Army.
If it wasn’t for Noo Yawk City and a few other welfare centers New York State would probably be a Red or Purple state politically.
Ask Cuomo if conservatives should sew a yellow star on their cloths so other New Yorkers can easily identify them?
