Heavenly harmonies, but what also struck me was their diction. You could understand every ...single ...word they sang.
My fav? Walk Right Back.

Mr. Everly (post #23) kept all his hair. There ought to be a law against that. Fairness, you know.

They were well before ‘ebonics’, ‘spanglish’, SF’s voter ballots in 23 languages, and whatever ‘language-dejour’ crap the lib-tards have foisted upon America and the education system. IMO, R&R and real music ended in the early-70s; most everything since has been crap/trash/garbage/noise.

"Bird Dog" was one of my favorites.

Alright, who can tell me how Warren Zevon is connected with the Everlys?

Zevon was in the Everlys’ band when they broke up in 1973. His fault?

I dunno, Kim Fowley was giving him advice around 1970, pushing him in a direction (and writing songs for him).

The Kinks may be reuniting this year (The Davies Brothers are getting along a bit better, but they want to write a new album first).

Don is still alive, yes. And Axel was married to Erin for a few years. Rough marriage and SCoM was written about/for her.

Warren played in their band (Phil’s only I think) in the 70’s. Albert Lee was guitarist and vocal for Don’s solo career and was their guitarist after the reunion until they retired.
