Just like old Owlgore with his Tennessee Mansion with an environmental footprint of an elephant. “The Important People” have to have all the “conveniences of life” so that they can “concentrate” on what’s “best” for the rest of us. I’ve posted it before, but P. J. O’Rourke nails it. “At the core of liberalism is the spoiled child; miserable, as all spoiled children are, unsatisfied, demanding, ill-disciplined, despotic and useless. Liberalism is a philosophy of sniveling brats.” These people fit this description to a tee.
