I wouldn't walk across the street to see a movie that stars the overrated star of this movie. He still looks like he's 18 years old, but he's Martin Scorsese's "boy" now that DeNiro is an old man. Hope this glorification of crooks bombs at the box office.

Unfortunately, I sat thru this drivel just to see what all the hype was about.
It really is an abomination . Scorsese is circling the drain and decrapio is just awful , as is Jonah hill..

“And then I unraveled the truth. The truth about my father and his behavior: that behind all of it was really just insidious soul-sucking shame masked by addiction, which we love to call ambition, which is really just greed. Greed and the desire for fame...”

Reminds me of someone...

I don’t watch many movies and wouldn’t recognize LDC if he shined my shoes, but I will give him credit for his willingness to take on some pretty dark roles. For a guy who came up as a pretty boy, it suggests that he’s at least serious about his craft. Whether he succeeds, I’ll let others judge, as I don’t think I’ve seen ever one of his flicks other than Titanic, on DVD.

Watch the current remake of “The Great Gatsby”. De Caprio was really pretty good in it and it was a really good version of the movie, better than Redford’s 40 years ago.

Catch Me If You Can — excellent film, based on an interesting story.

I have loved several of DiCaprio's roles, and am disappointed and disgusted to see him associate himself with a scoundrel who is not through being a scoundrel yet, and still hurting people.

His lead role in Catch Me If You Can was about another con man, but at least that exceptionally attractive scoundrel turned his life around. Gangs of New York was also a tale in which Leo's character had to make tough moral choices. He played Howard Hughes in The Aviator against Cate Blanchett as Katherine Hepburn, which was rather stunning, and I've watched his terrific portrayal, amid a terrific cast, of an heroic undercover FBI agent in The Departed at least four times.

Gatsby. Decaprio was all right but the screenwriters F’ed up the whole movie. You can barely recognize it. Also cinematography sucked. Also props sucked eg a Duesenberg SJ? An Auburn speedster? Ten years after the time of the book. Agreed about Redford. Way too stiff

Will never watch a movie by a man who produced the filthy and sacrilegious “Last temptation of The Christ”

It was a pretty darn good movie. Decaprio’s acting was fantastic.

The message to take out of it is to NEVER trust a stockbroker or smooth sounding sales person. NEVER.

The whole lot of them should be taken out and shot. I literally mean that.

Actually he directed it. :) It was produced by others.

The part with the candle up his a$$ —how did that add to the story...?

Ditto for the gays butt humping each other in their penthouse — gratuitous, added nothing.

One hour too long.

The young daughter has more problems than missing all the goodies Daddy gave her.

The open letter is almost incomprehensible. As I read the disgruntled ramblings I am thinking, “Honey....do you have a point?”

Perhaps she will resort to the oldest profession as she would starve as a writer.

Thank goodness I’m not the only one who is not impressed with DiCaprio.

the only holiday movie we might see is “Frozen.” The rest appear to be mirrors of our dysfunctional & amoral society.

He’s a former seminarian who had been wanting to film that novel since the early ‘70s.
