According to Watts Up with that? blog: The expedition is being led by Chris Turney, climate scientist, who has set up a carbon refining company called Carbonscape which has developed technology to fix carbon from the atmosphere and make a host of green bi-products, helping reduce greenhouse gas levels. The purpose of the expedition is to discover and communicate the environmental changes taking place in the south.

I just saw something about this. Why does australia even have an ice breaker? What about Canada? Don’t they have a bunch of those? Why does China have one? Do we have one we could send? Could they rescue the people with helicopters and come back for the ship in the spring?
I sound like a little kid with all my questions!
Any answers will be appreciated!

Hey comrades. Try a couple small nukes on the ice. That’ll do it fur sur.
Also, your ships will glow at night so you’ll save money on running lights.
