This poll doesn’t mean much. Iowa is a RINO state.

Paul Ryan was there recently being promoted by Branstad.
I doubt after Steve King and Ryan go to war on amnesty he will survive in Iowa. Maybe in the Iowa Democratic primary.

Not to worry I think there is a Freeper from Iowa that has it all locked up.....

“Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan is the most popular of the would-be 2016 Republican contenders among Iowa Republicans, handily outstripping his potential competition in the state that holds the first nominating contest every four years, according to a new poll.”

That’s right, by God. Let’s trash talk any Conservative who isn’t perfect, just to show how pure we all are. Sure, that’s how we end up with the likes of John McCain and Mitt Romney, but 8 more years of socialist statism is a small price to pay.

Rand Paul will win the nomination.

This poll doesnt mean much. Iowa is a RINO state.
The Republicans in Iowa, especially those who participate in the caucus, are very willing to buck the GOP-E. Last time around they picked Santorum, despite his lack of money. Before that, they went with Huckabee over McCain. In '88, George the Elder finished near the back of the field despite being Reagan's VP, with Pat Robertson as second.
Admittedly, Iowa is soft on someone who serves the farm lobbyists. So, yes, her voters salivate at Bob Doles and Tom Harkins alike. Also, Iowa is going to be a touch less hawkish than northeastern Republicans on foreign policy. Iowa is an important caucus state (no open primaries there!) with no more RINO-ism than 90% of the other states.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a D or R, as both are stoking the fiscal train wreck that’s a comin’. One is just feeding the engine fire a little less fuel......and neither seem to understand or want to utilize the brake.
