Setting the bar at Cuomo is a mighty low standard.....I’d prefer a 3 legged dog to Cuomo myself.

Astorino has a nice clean slate (until the dirt hounds get after him maybe; I hope not), whereas Paladino, as much as I like him personally, carries a bit of baggage from the last go-round.

One thing we DON’T want is the guy who caused the global financial cooling towers to melt down and was unpopular enough to get 12,000 people out in the pouring rain to protest his gun act.

I thought Paladino was not going to run but was going to endorse a candidate for governor.

On whether he likes Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) more than New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie:

“Absolutely. I think Christie would be moving the country in the wrong direction, sort of like a Clinton. OK, he’ll be whatever you want him to be on any given day. I like the style, not necessarily the substance. I think he’s a little narcissistic and he thinks of himself and his future although he doesn’t reveal it in that way, he tries to be homey with everybody but I think inside that he doesn’t have those convictions.”

Well, people were still talking about Paladino for governor at a meeting I went to tonight. In their view, he is much more conservative than Astorino, which sounds correct to me. Astorino would have to be soft on a few issues to win in his area. Will check out which ones.
