OOPS. Not a good thing to happen during a "safety" demonstration at an elementary school. I'll bet one police officer is going to be chewed out for this.

I’m just shaking my head. This must give you lots of confidence in your local police force. I’ve lost a lot confidence in my local police force this past year, also.
This lack of confidence in police is what makes oppose the stop and frisk law in NYC. When you think about what we saw in that video of the motorcycle gang terrorizing the Asian family in the SUV, you know that the NYC police cannot be trusted with such power as the stop and frisk.

A weapon accidentally discharged, all by itself?
So, let me guess: the gun, of its own accord decided to load at least one round into the chamber. Then, the gun was just settin' there behaving and playing with itself and then "accidentally discharged."
Of course, there was no human involvement whatsoever.
This reminds me that I need to have a good talk with all of my guns, so the same thing doesn' happen to them.

Class we always assume the weapon is not loaded and the safe- (bam) ty is on.
Good thing Chino Hospital is across the street just a little bit further to the west.

Yes, just like those EVIL SUV’s that cause all those accidents.

This reminds me that I need to have a good talk with all of my guns, so the same thing doesn' happen to them. One guy on here was talking about his guns down in the basement shooting themselves and raising hell. He had to go down there and take their ammunition away from them.

When I heard this story the first thought I had was, thank God the gun was in the hands of a “professional”! And then I was impressed that more children weren’t injured by the “professional”.

More info. According to anothe student, one student got access to a gun, pointed it to the ground and pulled the trigger. I guess there are a few red flags here. Why were the officers not watching it, let alone having a loaded gun near where a student could get to it?

CHINO (CBSLA.com) Three students were injured Wednesday after a weapon accidentally discharged during a safety presentation at an elementary school in Chino.Safety presentation huh? I am not saying this is one of those times, but I am so cynical of government, that I think sometimes these things are staged, to further gun control.

Is the USA losing its institutional memory, its basic competencies, or not?
Can’t win a war decisively since WWII?
Can’t do a school firearm safety demo without the gun going off?
Can’t implement computer systems?
Can’t pass a balanced budget?
To: truth_seeker
Can't accept blame (usually applies to democrats and especially Obama).

This still works with my “professional” comment. The children should never had access to the gun and should not have been loaded. I bet this “professional” gets no more than a paid vacation and a written reprimand. If this happened in your home with your child and your gun you would be arrested, charged with child endangerment, violation of properly securing the firearm and ammunition, have your weapons confiscated and your child removed from your home by the government do gooders.

Don't tell me — it was one of the inmates from the CA Department of Corrections at Chino doing the “safety presentation” that dropped his “Roscoe”? Or, was it a cop named Dudley Doright?

Should have sent somebody from Firearms Training Associates over there instead. They're over behind the Prado Dam. In over a decade of training, they've had one minor incident. They've trained thousands safely.
