Your ignorance is only exceeded by your arrogance. Shame.

I’ve seen it posited elsewhere that - after the Great Collapse - the United States will rapidly become the sex slavery capital of the world. Our girls already know all the techniques, having already been raised on a steady diet of porn and bad examples, and just need a little economic deprivation to as eagerly sell their most marketable assets as Indian or Cambodian girls do today.

And you, sitting at computer, are the authority for what God thinks? Yes, the absence of a Savior and Judeo-Christian values does contribute mightily to their plight and the poverty of their families. God is fully aware of every aspect of their situation, including their exploitation. He loves them and he neither approves or condones what they are forced into. He didn’t approve or condone the slavery of the Hebrews in Egypt either (one example of many), although he allowed it to happen until he brought his people out of there via the Red Sea in his perfect time. I’m sure you’ve heard of it....

God loves you too strider.

Seems like you think you could do a better job of being God. You think you are more just and wise than God apparently... or at least your conception of who God is.

Ezekiel 14:3
Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them?

Would the world really turn to paradise if everyone had your character? You’ve never harmed anyone have you?

The god you are angry at is not the same God who created and sustains all things, nor the One who will bring about justice on the earth. God condemns these things and has made a way to end them and rescue those who have been harmed by them. Yet you accuse God of being to blame for this?

Would you like to be blamed for the little girls being sold into prostitution in India? What have you done to stop this practice? Have you ever paid for money for pornography? Do you think prostitution would exist at all if it were not for people paying for it?

The seriousness of the insult rises with the office of the one being insulted. How should Almighty God respond to tiny creatures that insult and malign His dignity?

Pretty sorry state of affairs if that is how the girls in your household have been raised. Of all the teenage girls I know, there might be one or 2 that could possibly fall into that category.

The death of Jesus on the cross is testimony to how much God cares. Jesus was as much God as He was man. He could have called 10,000 angels to rescue Him at any time. But he willingly submitted to a horrible death—& He did it because He cares.

God will save those who call on Him. He has promised to do so. Even in India, people know who Jesus is. For example, I once read a book by a high caste Indian named Ravi Maharaj. He related an incident where his mother, a good Hindu, said to him, ‘If you’re ever in a dire situation & all else fails, call on the name of Jesus’. She knew about Jesus from the tireless work on missionaries in India. If you think about it, I bet you can name at least one from your own memory.

Anyway, Ravi did eventually call on Jesus, & some time afterward he became a Christian. That is what is required, Strider: a person’s willingness to respond to God. He died on the cross & provided the way to salvation. Still it’s not automatic. All a person needs to do is appeal to Jesus, but they have to do that much at least.

I think that this might be an example of how the world’s major religions are NOT the same, though you often hear people say that they are. Notice that the article said that religion plays a role, though they didnt say how. Supposedly India has done away with the caste system, but evidently not really. I’ve never been there and know its a big country with a lot of people. That being said, this is one of the things that’s always concerned me about Eastern religions is their passivity in relation to vulnerable people and obvious injustices like this. Lets face it. Stuff like this is why some people think the British in India wasn’t such a bad thing.
I had a friend who was an adherant of new age, Eastern-type religion say that the caste system in India was good in that people were freed up to achieve consciousness. They didnt have to worry about questions such as what career to pursue, etc., that was decided based on their caste. So they could concentrate of achieving consciousness. Whatever. I’ve just never been impressed with Eastern religions.

“Of course it makes us sad that we have to force our women into this line of work, but how else can we earn this sort of money?” says Pratap, 30, who uses a single name and lives off the earnings of his sister, Manju, who was soliciting customers nearby. “It is easy for them. They don’t have to work hard for it.”

I swear, I read this and immediately wanted to punch this boy in the mouth.

"Boy", not "man" -- no one can think this way and call himself a real man.

Thanks but no thanks. I don’t believe in god. Yes, an unpopular position here at FR, but I’ve managed to get by here for 10 years.

I don’t believe in god.

That's OK... you will in this life or the next...

It’s the whole “free will” thing that allows god to turn a blind eye.

You know you really should understand what "free will" is...it's definitely NOT God turning a blind eye

If you are going to comment on "free will" you at least should be not be ignorant on what it means...

Just think Global Warming and you get the idea. Read about all the religious predictions that have come and gone in the past. None of them turned out to be true either.

Life drags on and on if you believe in God. Life in the fast lane is just that. You WILL believe in God when you die, how fast or slow do you want to live?
