Do the simple math: If it only costs $8,000 per year for public schooling (and in many districts it costs much more), then it costs about $100,000 to bring a single black student to the point they graduate high school and go on to enter college. But at 5% readiness, it costs $2 MILLION dollars to bring a single black student to be ready for college, ignoring how few black youth stay in school to even take the ACT let alone graduate. How can we bring ourselves to admit that the public school model is broken and dangerously so? Clearly, it is time for alternatives such as allowing parents to choose how they want their own children to be educated and where.

That 5% are the ones that are ridiculed by the rest of that culture, for “acting white”. I admire them for the crap they have to withstand from the “hip hop/rap/thug” culture.
