While I understand your point, I must disagree. Freedom of religion also implies freedom from religion (as in forced participation).
The part of the first amendment that most libs want to forget is the “... free exercise thereof”. I am of the opinion that is the section we need to be shouting from the rooftops every time one of these Fredom from Religion types gets to flapping their gums.
What a farcical name given that religion is everywhere. Even those who claim to be nonreligious are in fact guided by a set of rules. Consistent with their religion's origins from the father of lies is their self-characterization of nonreligious.
Freedom from religion foundation is selling the lie that the government must enforce anti-religion.
The truth is that even if we only talk neutral religious speech instead of anti-religious speech, the enforcement of neutral religious speech is a violation of free speech and free exercise and the establishment of an approved religion.
Maybe the kids grades and behavior were improving and the bureaucrats were disturbed by that!
