I've shown you the simple logic, that all understand, that our FFs knew. Start with the truth, rather than your agenda, and it's very easy to understand. Is a guy born in Canada an American by birth?

Not if the Canadians say he isn't, they're likely to say he's one of them.

Is it logic that has compelled you to conclude that Canadian law should dictate to us who we can select for our president? I prefer that we choose who we can select for our president. The Canadians are too Canadian to pick our candidates.

----------------------------

Is the son of a Cuban citizen born in Canada an American?

Not to simple minded Americans living in the forgotten flyover country like me.

The son of a Cuban citizen born in Canada is an American if his mother is an American citizen - a daughter of Uncle Sam! That's why Ted Cruz qualifies.

If Ted Cruz runs and if he receives a majority of the electoral vote, he will become the President of the United States. So, get ready to reconsider your analysis of this issue.

And, by the way, if he runs, Cruz's strongest supporters will be those of us in the flyover country. We know an American when we see one.

“newbie birthers” are starting the stop-Cruz movement. A Cruz scare must be running through DC. (see #133)

“newbie birthers” do not have the seniority status of their older brothers who may claim that “birther” is a perjorative.

Your posts are quite humorous and, combined with the others here, are a workshop on how your side works and the rules you live by.

I will be interested in how Ted Cruz handles this opportunity and what his actions reveal about him.

Is he really the man of integrity and faith he appears to be?

We shall have to wait for the appropriate test to see.

Ted Cruz will pass your test with flying colors.

And, you will too. I have no doubt about what you will do if it's Clinton vs. Cruz, Clinton vs. Rubio, Clinton vs. Haley, or Clinton vs. Jindal. The "natural born citizen" standard will become clear as a bell again and all of the doubts you're having now will just seem like some sort of ugly, twisted nightmare starring Orly Taitz. ;-)

Nope, nope, nope, a thousand times nope! LOL.

Surely, you've learned something about this issue from the last five years. The voters and their electors select our presidents.

I'm learning that you refuse to understand because of emotions. I'm not against Cruz but I will state the facts.

Ted Cruz will pass your test with flying colors.

If he does, then he'll either be Senate Majority leader and/or shine some truth at the current usurper/pretender and possibly be cannonized in history for his efforts or possibly be out of office for offending the PTBs.

Either could come from his doing the right things for the right reasons, but his running for President means that something else has happened.

We shall have to wait and see.

I can assure you that no one has ever wanted to be "cannonized" for any reason.

(I know what you mean.) ;-)

How we pick our presidents is described in the Constitution.

And, I know who you'll be voting for if he runs! ;-)

How we pick our presidents is described in the Constitution.

And it is also written in the Constitution what are the qualifications for office, which has been debased for political expediency.

No, I meant that as written, lower case.

In principle, his or anyone's efforts that successfully show us the truth about your pretender president and how we've been deceived will make that person an American saint, now and forever more, in our history.

Bonus points for restoring our Constitutional Republic, that many of us have grown up pledging our allegiance to.

Few, not many, reach that level, but perhaps his is such a soul?

We shall have to wait and see if his ego is larger than his integrity.

We shall have to see if we have heeded the warnings we are being given or if we have earned a correction.

Ready or not? Perhaps we won't have to wait much longer?

And it is also written in the Constitution what are the qualifications for office,

That's where we agree.

which has been debased for political expediency.

That's where we disagree.

Orly Taitz (and others) tried to debase it, but the courts refused to play. How many times did the courts hit her with sanctions?

The standards (35 years old, 14 years residency, natural born citizen) don't change over time. For 57 elections in a row , the electors have applied those standards and after 2016, it will be 58 elections in a row.

I hope they pick Ted Cruz next time. We need him.

Okay, I thought perhaps you meant canonized?

You and I share the same goal - restoring our Constitutional Republic. I have no doubt that you'll do more than your share.

Yep, you're right about that. Thanks for the spell check!

How I try, but spelling remains one of the may lesser banes of my existence and I regret my talent for misspelling and inflicting it on others.

Apologies and my thanks, again.
