And it is idiotic in more than one way.
First, the number of blacks who are criminals is nowhere near 50%, for any age group. That is simply absurd.
as an example, from an older version of the crime statistics, the rate for 18-under blacks was 2.8%, and the rate for over 18-blacks was 3%.
Second, a large number of blacks who are criminals are actually in prison, so the chance of you running into one of THOSE blacks is low, except as I said if you are in prison. The criminal rate for blacks who are NOT in prison is much lower.
It is stupid statements like yours that cause real trouble. The idea that any black you run into has a 50-50 chance of being a criminal is exactly the kind of assinine “profiling” that makes it hard for those of us who want to profile appropriately.
In Indiana, he wouldn’t have been arrested. Our laws specifically mention the curtilage.

That is entirely irrelevant to the claim that half of the population of blacks between 19-35 are criminals.
A mistake all too common though. There is a statistic that half the murders are committed by blacks. That doesn’t mean half the blacks are murderers.

Perceptions are that your encounter with blacks will result in a crime against life and property.
People understandably discriminate accordingly - it doesn’t matter if it is exceedingly true or very true.
I don’t have to agree with them - I am just appreciating their position.
