Cross exam tried to suggest that the wounds on GZ might be from running into the little trees in the area or from rolling in the dirt. That was not at all convincing. Even if the case had been going badly, it would be difficult to lose after this testimony.

I think it is the worst case scenario.

There is no case for manslaughter. To convict of manslaughter they would have to ignore the same defense evidence that results in a not guilty for murder 2.

Would you send a man to prison for decades just to make a mom feel better. A mom of a son, that when missing, dad’s first call is to juvi?

IMHO, that is one of the top five gotchas in this case. So much was communicated to the jur in so few words.

'Firmtive. That was breathtaking, and I bet he wouldn't have said it if he had been sequestered like all the rest of the witnesses. I think MOM thought about it and decided to use the loophole that allowed TM to be in the courtroom to his advantage, and he gaslighted him.
