So you’d rather everyone just follow orders like they did in Hitler’s Germany?
I'm apparently not up to speed... what is "the Reddit community"?
Very much akin to FR on how it operates but without the Hardcore Conservative ideology. The Political bent is more middle of the road to left of cent from what I've seen on it. And the site is more cutting edge.
Stories get voted on (Akin to Facebook's "like" system) so the higher the votes the more prominent the story is on the Front Page of Reddit.com
Interesting... thanks for the information about Reddit. I suspected Reddit was a lefty or left-of-center website.
Reddit is a nouveau (circa 2005) social news discussion forum. Younger crowd (20-30somethings) than FR. Discussion topics are generally known as subreddits and predictably include user options for Front Page news, Politics, World news, Science, Technology, WTF, Funny, Best Of, etc.
You'd rather everyone just post classified on the internet like Bradley Manning?
A smart political operative would see the numbers ~ 69 million Democrats, 63 million Republicans, and 90 million not voting, and realize that with 40% of the electorate still in play, no one has to run a doufus like Obama or old ausfahrts like McCain and Romney.
Just doesn't need to be done!
“same seems to hold for people he doesn’t like,”
Typical of an egotist like OweBowMao. Whether it is ego or politics it still resulted in the death of one of our guys. Don’t believe Snowden’s disclosure caused one death.
You’re right he absolutely uses bureaucracy to target. In 2009 he issues an executive order to engage unions in departmental management decisions. On March 30, 2010 he talks to Colleen Kelly, head of the Treasury and IRS union. Next day Tea Party gets targeted.
I’m usually pretty good in detecting sincerity. Snowden strikes me as sincere and believes what he is doing is best for the country. He certainly is articulate and well reasoned. It may be illegal, but then Rand Paul wants the Patriot Act to go under Supreme Court review again.
I think we both agree that all laws are not necessarily constitutional. Snowden is making us look at how much of our privacy the government is entitled to.
Thanks, FRiend... Can't believe Reddit has been around since about 2005, and I'm just hearing about it now! Must be getting old... ;-)
I took a look at Reddit.com last night... definitely seems like a younger crowd. Lots of crude language and comments...
