Isn’t one of the people on the Boay Scout’s board a high ranking executive from ATT, who refuses to donate money because of the stance on homosexuals?
That’s my point.
Partly right. AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson "donated" cellular phone infrastructure to BSA for the 2010 National "Centennial" Jamboree at Ft. A.P. Hill, VA. At last year's National Council annual business meeting, he pledged to do the same for the 2013 National Jambo at the brand new The Summit Scouting Preserve in WV. Stephenson is currently a VP on the BSA National Executive Committee. He is expected to be selected as the National President at the 2014 National Council annual business meeting.
Of course, the Ernst & Young CEO James Turley is also a fellow traveller in this march over the cliff. He is currently the International Commissioner on the BSA National Executive Committee.
The 3rd bad actor in this mess is Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson, the immediate past BSA National President and still sitting on the National Executive Board.
Wayne Perry is the incumbent National President. He is a lifelong Mormon.
The denominations which charter the most Scouting units, in descending order are ...
1. LDS
2. UMC
3. Catholic
4. ELCA
5. PCUSA
6. Baptists (all flavors)
Of these 6 denominations, only the Southern Baptist Convention is fighting the good fight against the homosexualits. The Mormons are showing signs of backing down because of the blowback felt from supporting Prop 8 in CA a few years back. Plus look at the top 3 Mormons in the country - (1) Mitt Romney (RINO), (2) U.S. Senator Harry Reid (D-NV), and (3) former UT governor John Huntsman Jr. (RINO). The Methodists and Catholics are both squishy. Forget the ELCA and PCUSA - they both already accept homosexual priests.
In English boarding schools, the problem was that the older boys initiated the younger. The older often being just a few years older. It started with kissing and went from there. Young boys have always served older men as substitutes for girls, on land or sea. Just read Melvilles Billy Budd.”
