Interesting how it doesn’t add up, does it.

On one hand you say premarital sex is wrong, and on the other, it’s apparently ok. Funny that.

Though, since you’re a boomer, I can certainly see why this would be the case. ;)

After the repeal of Prohibition the rate of alcoholism increased to 1000%. It’ll be interesting to see what’s really going on with pot legalization. No doubt the real numbers will be hidden for as long as they can be.

The crime stats will eventually tell the tale.

You are welcome to continue down the current path of lifetime sentences and chopping the hands and feet off for possession of a few ounces. If you wish.

Hows that working for you?

You as usual miss the point.

And again I am sorry your folks so screwed you up and made you such a hateful little prick.

Did you really feel so unloved?

Were they dope heads or swingers or just refused to buy you that Play Station

One thing for sure ....within 20 years I’ll be dead and you will likely still be here

And still a sad asshole who wants someone to love him

Which begs the question....how would you know anything about sex anyhow?

Internet porn doesn’t count little boy.

It is more complicated. First, due to poor health, the onset of puberty was also at a later age. Girls didn’t start menstruating until they were 17 or 18, compared with 12 or 13 today. Second, the Puritans were actually fairly ribald. They weren’t that pure.

we’ve pushed when it is permissible for people to become sexual well into their twenties

The age of consent is 17; even before that it's not really criminalized unless statutory laws are violated.

You have an interesting relationship with the truth.

Even if the drinking rates surged, after Prohibition, they eventually settled down where most people keep their booze consumption to a fairly moderate rate.

My only mistake was word usage, not concept. When I used the word permissible, I had meant ideal. I don’t think there’s anybody here who thinks they should be having kids out of wedlock, or until they’ve built the proper foundation for children. The problem is we’ve pushed the definition of proper foundation into the late 20’s or early thirties, which means people have to spend the greater part of their reproductive life being celibate, by that definition.

As far as lying goes, you should probably attend to the tree in your own eye, rather than concern yourself with the sliver in mine, eh?

Oh yeah, right; that was only a minor semantic mistake. I suppose that
"the current path of lifetime sentences and chopping the hands and feet off for possession of a few ounces"
was a typo!

Yeah, and unfortunately the statistics say otherwise.

Yep. Unemployment is down to 7.6%, isn't it. We know all about statistics, but facts don't seem to matter.

I refer you to the movie made in the 20's... Reefer Madness. You can believe your Gum't statistics, or speak to those who have real experience. Besides, your police state is coming soon enough!

“hateful little prick”

Seems I summed you up pretty damned well.

Go on, tell me how the sexual revolution helped us. We’ll still be picking up the pieces decades from now.

The good thing, is we’ll have the ballad of ol’ Slick Willy to remember your generation by. Bookended by Obama.

Gosh, I remember real men like Ike. What would he have thought of the whole tune in drop out generation? Men who served and fought and married and raised folks like you. Got married and stayed married.

So tell me, Mr. Boomer. Are you happy with your legacy?

I’m referring to the statistics showing increases in hospital admissions that were twice as high after decriminalization.

But yeah. There’s no harm associated with it. Nosirree.

No, that was a deliberate exaggeration upon your position of only using punitive measures in dealing with people who want to use drugs.

My position is similar to how we’re dealing with alcohol. Regulate and control its usage and most people will moderate their behavior around it. For those who choose not to moderate their behavior, we can still use the punitive approach.

Increase in hospital admissions for pot smoking? What, did it go from 2-3?

Hahahahahahahahaha Hahahahahahahahahaha...

There is NOTHING in that drug which would require a hospital. Maybe some Cheetos would be required!!!

My position? Dude, you were addressing a different poster!

Do yourself a favor and quit using the stuff. Your mind is clearly going.

Whatever.

I'm off to work now; please don't misinterpret my failure to respond as evidence you've won the argument. Bye!

If you were really committed to winning your arguement, you would have called in sick.

I win.

We delegalize soda, but legalize pot...so amazing the nuance and complicity of the liberal mind.

Legalizing drugs while 90 million are unemployed will spike crime rates.

Drug cartels will not go away.

Legal marijuana is “let them eat cake” to pacify the masses and take their minds off their troubles.
