Importantly, Hollywood hasn’t just mastered beating a successful production to death through repetition, but also doing the followups on the cheap, and going in a different direction from the original. Their process is naturally corrupting.
Back in the heyday of pseudo-Biblical movies in the 1950s and 1960s, they cranked out some amazing stinkers, that today are positively cringe-worthy.

Others traveled with them, yes, I know. Although, she seems to be the only extra traveler depicted. Again, I didn’t pause the show and count, but she was singled out more than any of the others. And this has to be the first dramatization that I’ve seen with her at the Last Supper. Maybe I’ve been staring at Da Vinci’s painting too much.
Yes, her at the last supper was stretching ‘arstic license’ a bit far. Of course everyone who has read or seen the DaVinci Code “knows” she was there. (sarc)
