It was a rhetorical question. Of course I know that the United States Army never occupied Poland. While I have no love for FDR, and think he was a socialist enabler, I have the highest respect for historical truth. The truth is that FDR did not “betray” or “sell out” Poland to Stalin at Yalta, as a lot of people like to believe. It was never ours to begin with. The geographical reality was that no matter what we did, the Red Army was going to occupy Poland on the way to the defeat of Nazi Germany. That would necessarily bring all of the attendant consequences.

Old Kiev on the west bank of the Dneiper River is just perfectly gorgeous as are the girls who parade up and down their main street. If you like them tall, high cheekboned, willowy, mini-skirted, and scoop necked tops, Kiev is the place to find them. ;^) Ya Znaiou!
