Will there be a Titanic (1) museum onboard?

Perhaps passengers could take a ‘disconnect’ cruise? Check your electronic devices at the door, only books and B&W cameras allowed. No TV or radio. Only non-electric live bands for music.

Along with the period clothing, I could see the ladies eating this up.

Hopefully there will be some on board off-center ballast tanks to give an authentic list during mid-cruise.

`Disconnect cruise’. I like it!

Historical note: The Marconi wireless on Titanic received a daily summary of world news sent by Morse code, which was then published in the ship’s daily newsletter.

I’m sure if there were any ‘problems’ like we’ve seen with recent cruises that people would be demanding those electronic devices back in their possession...pronto!

This is the company supposedly commissioned to build it and they use yards all over the world.

As far as sub par steel the first one had high suplphur steel, Chinese steel isabout as good, so it will have basically the same quality steel, marginally better.

being quite macabre.

Wonder if they’ll hire ladies and gentlemen to stroll the first class area dressed in 1900’s splendor. THAT would be creepy.

what classes of travel will be available on Titanic II

The story about this posted last week said there would be three classes and that passengers in each would not be allowed to “mix”.

How quaint.

It will doubtlessly have modern staterooms, but the problem is that modern windows and balconies that cruisers expect would make the ship look all wrong.

I would certainly pay a reasonable fee to tour one in port.

That's what I think they should do. Keep it in port, like the Queen Mary, and let people come in and tour it. That way it could be truly identical, including not enough lifeboats. It would be a great tourist attraction. They could have special events where people dress up or eat the same meals served on the original, and so forth. But no one would be stuck on it for two weeks or have to worry about it sinking.

Airplanes have first class, business class, and coach...about the same thing..

It might actually work. On big cruise ships today..you have suites on the top decks that go for tens of thousands $$ for a week's cruise, or you can get a lower deck INBOARD ( no windows) cabin) for next to nothing..

People paying BIG $$$ might actually find it preferable..especially in dining rooms, to be ( dare I say it) "sequestered" from peons...

“Violet Constant Jessop has to be one of the luckiest women in maritime history. She worked as an ocean liner stewardess and nurse. She survived the sinking of the RMS Titanic and the HMHS Britannic in 1912, and 1916. What’s more, she also had been on board the RMS Olympic in 1911, when it almost sank after colliding with another ship.

“When asked why she continued to work for the White Star Line after such accidents, she remarked that they were a very good employer, and she liked working for them.”
