Yes, although the weather is capricious. We could end up with a dusting. :)

Still, all the weather models seem to be focusing on a record-breaking snowfall, perhaps even surpassing the blizzard of '78. Although the "official" records (which usually reflect snowfall levels in Boston) claim a 1978 snowfall of about 27 inches, in some areas the level was much higher, which is why many/most of us use the '78 storm as a benchmark.

I'm glad that you're not getting the high winds. They concern me more than the snow.

We took a lot of photos of '78's snow because it was so incredible and people's stories are legendary.

I swear it was deeper than 27". My front steps are four feet off the ground and we had to dig our way out of snow that came 1/3 a way up the door. Needless to say, snow got into the house with that dig.

They were saying 50mph gusts. With heavy snow that would have been extremely dangerous. I have 2 trees close to the house. The closest one is questionable.

I had eleven trees taken out of my property and even I couldn’t tell, they are that many trees. It’s just sheer luck that of all the trees that have fallen (knock on wood), our house has never been hit. Gotta pray that our luck holds out.
