I think the parallel fits. Adolf Hitler and Barack Obama have a lot in common and we’re fast becoming the Weimar Republic.

Is the Hitler meme overdone by some ? Yes. Does it fit very situation ? No.

I would offer that we are not in 1938 Germany. We are in 1920’s Soviet Russia.

It’s not National Socialism that Odinga is pushing; it’s full-bore Marxism.

He does not need stormtroopers. He already has the Cheka and his own NKVD. He doesn’t need Obamajungen, he has Komsomol.

I can't argue with that. Perhaps I'm being subconsciously being influenced by the book I'm currently reading, John Toland's Adolf Hitler, Volume 1 . Or worse, we're living in a combination of both. Either way, this is not what the Founders had in mind, not by a long shot.

Oh wow, Toland; I had Toland as an undergrad textbook back in the day for a level 300 history course.

The prof was good; we did a role-play of Kristallnacht in class. THAT was thought-provoking.

Ironic that we are dealing with enemies both foreign and domestic: domestic enemies forcing a foreign ideology upon us.
