He has three angles in this opportunity: attack the media, attack the stupid law, or attack both.
By choosing to attack the stupid law, he’s directing the most attention to what should be changed: the felonious possession of a piece of plastic.
Me, I want David Gregory to be charged; but I think the NRA president took the right stance here given his public persona.
Of course. What other position is he supposed to take? He’s not a damn leftist. This is intellectual honesty.
Yup. Keeping DG a free man only proves that the Dems are racist.
Dems need to stop protecting his white privilege. Content of character vs. color of skin and such....
David, if you were in jail, a black teenager would already be in you!
Charge him, show up in court, get the law struck down as unConstitutional.
Works for me.
In Colorado they supported existing democRats and lost my support.
Gregory will get a pass on this and that can be used to expose the corrupt cops, prosecutors and judges that hold ruling elites above the law and serfs always in violation of the legal trickery and dishonesty of all law.
The NRA should use different operatives to destroy ALL the opposition on all fronts.
Ultimately, however, nothing will ever come of this no matter what any of us think and no matter what the law says. The DC police department and AG's office will never risk prosecuting an elite member of the media, no matter how serious the charge, only to have the media up their kiesters two months later with some made up "scandal".
The media will get their revenge if the DC police and AG do their job, bank on it.
Nope. The right gains nothing by being reasonable. A better lesson about guns laws would be if Gregory were perp walked into custody.
bttt. These Leftists are Alinskyites. Followers of an admirer of Lucifer. No Marquess of Queensbury rules for them.
I disagree. He’s a liberal so he believes in that law, and adding more like it. HE, and not normal people, should be the one to whom the law is applied to the extreme degree. WE never bought into it, he did.
Bullcrap. The left is always up in arms when they can make a case for hypocrisy on the right, you know, some conservative doing something they think is at odds with what conservatives believe. Intellectual honesty doesn't demand that you apply fairness to this guy, he fully supports the law he broke and tons of new ones.
The NRA isn’t the right, it’s an organization that has one political goal - advance the cause of gun rights. It, in fact, gains a lot by being reasonable, and though they are excoriated here for endorsing pro-gun Democrats, that strategy may well be our last firewall for gun control measures like Feinstein’s.
My 30 round magazine is bigger than Gregory’s 30 round magazine. In this case size does matter.
I disagree. The NRA says (correctly) that there are already enough gun laws and that those laws need to be enforced (and I disagree). In order for laws to be just, regardless of their merit, they need to be equally enforced. Either Gregory is charged and prosecuted, or anyone that was convicted under the same law should have their sentances commuted. That is intellectual honesty.
