“New laws ALWAYS sound like a good idea until the first time you have to enforce them.” - Unknown
Drive down any Martin Luther King Blvd in the country and guess how many of the people you see are carrying concealed weapons.
Cool, I'll take a few of those.
No wonder the recommendation of the gov't is to store guns and ammo separately.
I've noticed that before.
How coincidental can it be?
They can’t confiscate what they don’t know you have.
What Good Can a Handgun Do Against An Army?

People in New York, DC and Chicago are well armed.
They buy their guns on the black market and they never register their gun with the police.
Good luck on finding them and confiscating their weapons. People think little of gun control laws or the politicians who passed them.
They don’t work for the simple reason is that people are determined to protect themselves and no law will deter them from it.
Better to ask what a handgun can do against a drone.
“Better to ask what a handgun can do against a drone.”
If you have “boots on the ground”, you’re vulnerable - drones or no drones. And if you don’t have boots on the ground, drones will not give you control of the ground.

They’ll never have enough armed drones to kill a significant number of a rebellious population. That’s why Obama only uses them to kill leaders. If you want to disarm millions of people, you’ll need human beings in squad size at each and every house. That could quickly prove expensive and costly in lives.

Restrictions and over regulation on ANYTHING by government is the driver of crime and black markets regarding whatever is the target of the restrictions.
“Low-grade civil war?”
The Leftists are pushing for their gun bans and have bought their bullets; Feinstein and Cuomo are now calling for confiscation of anything they consider to be an assault weapon. Although I would never underestimate the enemy (the Left), it does seem that real attempts at confiscation would contradict their pacifist tendencies which would alienate much of their base. If the Left did go full throttle towards confiscation, with ensuing resistance, a rift would develop on the Left. And that would be something that could be exploited.
1. Those stupid enough to do so are put on a list maintained by the government.
2. Those that do not pose a problem: the gun-grabbers have to assume everyone is a potential non-compliant citizen.
3. The government will try going after high profile anti-gun control opponents and use them for show trials and intimidation. It will not work.
4. The government will start cordoning off areas and doing raids. Everyone will be abused by the government thugs — innocent as well as guilty.
5. This process converts many who were fence sitters or pro-control into anti-gun control resisters.
6. Ham handed raids, coupled with the murder of resisters will provoke a backlash of the oppressed citizenry.
7. Governments rule through citizen apathy and intimidation. When the government becomes the enemy of its citizens, its days are numbered. There are never enough government thugs with guns to oppose a people determined to end a tyranny.
8. For those who actively support the government's actions against its own people — their friends, neighbors, or relatives — payback is not pleasant. Note what happened to Tory sympathizers after the British lost the American Revolutionary War. As far as the government enforcers go, their safety from an angry populace is just about nil.
Plus many trips to the courts.

Thanks for the ping!
Very good article here, surprised it didn’t get more responses.
