No matter what I say you are going to go back to this same point over and over. Your facts and numbers were wrong in the previous post, I showed you that, and you just circle back to this same point. Some of your facts are wrong in this post as well. For example:
A Republican House that impeached Bill Clinton held steady in 2000.
That Republican House actually managed to lose seats during the impeachment process in 1998. It led to Gingrich's resignation. The process continued and led to another resignation in Bob Livingston (who apparently had an affair). Impeachment was not popular and there was no public will to convict Clinton. Heck, Clinton finished out his term with a sky high job approval rating even though his personal approval was low throughout the scandal. The public opposed impeachment by a wide margin.
The Democrats didn't win any of these elections. The Republicans lost them.
I think there is truth to that in the 90's. Unfortunately, the country has changed. We've imported millions of new citizens from Mexico who are natural Democrat voters. Worse, as the country becomes more secular it will move in the same direction Europe has. Once upon a time I believed there was a traditional silent majority that, when pushed, would stand up for what we regard as conservative values. I do not believe that silent majority exists anymore. In fact, I think it is the opposite. There exists among the majority of nonvoters even more votes for populist left policies.
