Yup. This is what Mo Dowd actually wrote! I don't think she meant for it to come out that way. In Dowd's analogy the "great civilization" being destroyed is the GOP, but she accidentally states the truth: The Obama win is America being destroyed from within by overpromising entitlements to all of the grievance/dependency groups Dowd lists.

Where was her editor to protect her from herself? Laid off probably.

Given the choice between living in Democrat dominated states (California or Illinois, for example) and ones where Republicans are in charge, we can see that the financial, criminal, social, educational, and any other category where government is involved are always worse where Democrats rule.
