It sounds as if the police are part of a Union and just protecting their turf.
Oh Jeez, another “expert.”
Hey all you gunslinging Hicks! STAND DOWN NOW BEFORE YOU SHOOT YOUR DUMB HILLBILLY TOES OFF!
Just stand there and wait till the “Pros from Dover” show up to chalk your body outline.
Hey Hicks, don’t try this at home, We are the Professionals, we KNOW how to show up 2 minutes after you really needed us.
Remember Hicks, when seconds count, we’re only five minutes out!
I remember a whole LOT of folks getting whacked by the “Pros” in NYC.
I don’t recall a lot of innocent bystanders getting whacked by an armed citizen. Cause if it did happen, the msm would jam it so far up our butts it would be coming out our noses.
So who’s the real danger here?
Your 'stuff' is the fruit of your labor, i.e., that portion of your life you traded to acquire the 'stuff'. So if someone steals your 'stuff' they are stealing part of your life. I think using a firearm to defend something that represents part of your life is perfectly acceptable.
>> “..and again our biggest fear is that some CRIMINAL would have gotten hurt, injured and possibly even died.” <<
.
Any questions?
I wonder how much of stolen jewelry would be kept in the evidence room and the cops could be the first to bid on it?
Yes, I have fired a gun in real life, many times, and I know enough to realise that my aim is a lot worse when under stress. You can train at the range all you want, but how are you supposed to get stress training so that you can hold your nerve whilst shooting? I doubt all store owners are highly-experienced combat veterans used to being under fire.
Yeah, I reckon you don't know a damn thing about guns, self defense or probably much anything at all except how to be a good little badge bunny who does what they are told.
You have certainly shined on this thread.
They should cut the officers pay in half .... money is just a material item :)
The thieves heartily agree with you. Sane people protecting themselves don't.
And that's as it should be. When your government thinks it needs to act like a criminal in the street, its time to make their choice of tactics something to ponder heavily.
Whatever happened to the uniformed cop showing up at a decent hour, knocking on the door and presenting a warrant? When did we replace a fine police force with Cheka?
War on drugs was a stake through the heart of many things.
>> “Good weapons management would be to brandish it only, or only open fire when there was a direct threat to her life, not her property.” <<
.
You’re an idiot!
You don’t “Brandish” anything, that makes you a sitting duck. You tale careful aim and shoot to kill, assuming that you’ll only get one clean shot.
That's not counting the times the crook gets the goods & kills the person so he can't be identified.
So then the case goes to homicide instead of to the detectives who never find him anyway.
I think you are lying as all of your statements have clearly shown that you know NOTHING on the subject.
Maybe you can go find a thread about baking cupcakes as the adults don't need your stupid advice on this thread.
I appreciate your concern for careless gun handling, but that shouldn’t translate into support for the statism you’re implying.
Not sure why you’re questioning “weapons management” when you go on about the benefits of training.
Instead of telling the citizens to submit to hostility, the LEOs should be providing info about how best to handle firearms; “weapons management”.

This is what I would load if in an urban retail location.
Yep. Give them whatever they want, walk to the back room and lay face down when asked, because I've never, ever heard of any robbery in which the victims where executed at the end. It just doesn't happen. You have the Police Chiefs word on it.
“The only downside to shooting the scum is the cleanup and you are left with the liquid waste removal.”
Maybe bullets could have a cork tied on to follow along behind and plug the hole...

Agree to the Nth degree! (don’t laugh, I’m on a roll tonight)
Uncle once told me (he was Korea, and 2 tours VN)
“If a man is scared enough to pull a weapon, he’s scared enough to use it.”
And then, he gave me the meat and potatoes: “Never pull a weapon unless you INTEND to use it, cause if you don’t intend to use it, you’ll just get shot by the other guy who is more scared than you.”
The girl did alright.
