“Still, the polls this week have got me concerned.”
That’s that the lamestream wants. Don’t be disheartened. The polls are skewed and don’t mean anything at this point. Watch Ohio, Florida, Virginia, North Carolina, Iowa, Wisconsin...later.
Just now-—
MATT DRUDGE on Twitter: Most accurate poll ‘08 [http://bit.ly/uE1pMD] will report this morning: Romney 48% Obama 45%. Reality? Would explain media freakin this week.
I think the second time around the Bradley effect will reassert itself.
- Nearly 50% of the nation pays no taxes
- A large percentage of our population are on welfare and food stamps
The above two groups (though they overlap) will never, ever vote for a Republican because they will either make them pay taxes or take their goodies away.
Then we have a subset of people who are so emotionally invested in Obama and so buy into the phony "hope and change" meme that they will vote for Obama no matter what.
Our saving grace is that many of those on welfare and collecting food stamps will not get to the polls. So long as their basic needs are provided for, they will be content to sit on their couches and watch TV because having to put on shoes and get out to a voting booth is really too much of a hassle for them. While they will tell you they are big Obama supporters, they really couldn't be bothered to act on it because they are by nature lazy, work-shy and slothful.
Still, Obama is going to get his 40-45% of the vote no matter what.
The upside is that 45-48% is probably the upper limit of the vote total he will get on November 6 and he will thus be turned out of office. However, probably not the landslide we are wishing for due to the factors above.
Many here state that it is our misfortune to have Romney as the candidate and that some other, more conservative candidate, would win by a larger margin. I just don't see that. While I wish we had a more conservative candidate, remember that Obama is going to get 40-45% no matter what. A more conservative candidate will almost certainly drive some of those independents to Obama's camp and make this an even closer race.
You're right - SeekAndFind's finding the good stuff...
A “ham sandwich”? I’d say a “crap sandwich” would win.
Very Loudly. "up by 9! Up by 9!"
Then the radio jock asked "Yes, but what were the demographics? Your other poll of likely voters says Obama's lead is within the MOE. What about that?"
Crickets. It was sort of like the "Eleven" scene from "This is Spinal Tap". "Yes, but this poll has him up by Nine."
I love the radio show I listen to in the morning. I've no idea what the host's politics are. He does a good job in skewering everyone. :-)
We’re all 0bama’s 0sama!
My concern lies less with the votes cast, than with who counts them. I understand this will be done overseas (Spain?) What kind of oversight are our “leaders” (hahahaha) providing for this process?
I’ve also posed this question: Let’s say it’s “close” — and we know the State Run Media will use that term broadly. But let’s say it is, and The Muslim simply deems (a la Villaraigosa at the Commie Convention) himself to have won. I want to know, what happens? Who stops him? I have zip, zero, nada confidence that Congress will — what have they done about any of his other illegalities? Yeah, I know this goes into tinfoil hat territory, but imagine how crazy it would’ve sounded in say, September 2001, if someone told you an unvetted Commie/Muslim sympathizer would be president just a couple of years later.
That said, I’d rather have a real conservative beat Obama 51-49% in an EV squeaker than to have Romney win in a blowout.
.
Remember ‘08?
Remember the MSM is still lying and covering up for him.
We’ll see the same illegal overseas and other contributions
We’ll see voter fraud ten times worse
We’ll see the race card pulled as never before
Don’t think the rats will give up their Communist coup without a struggle.
This will be the dirtiest fight in election history
We’ll be lucky if we EVER get rid of the Marxist/Muslim usurper.

My fiances’ parents were 1 McCain 1 Obama last round now we have 1 Romney 1 neither... We do not have a pick up but we have an Obama no show.... That is one half a vote and that will play out all over the nation and I bet you do not see that in a poll.....
Speaking only in terms of race relations, I concur. But now I am positive that America will not elect another black to this high office in my lifetime. This experience has really stung the electorate.
I understand you WANT it to be done, as most of us do... but there is NOTHING in Romney's history that indicates that he will undertake that massive responsibility. 100 days or 100 terms, Romney is not the guy who will fix the underlying problems.
“The upside is that 45-48% is probably the upper limit of the vote total he will get on November 6 and he will thus be turned out of office. However, probably not the landslide we are wishing for due to the factors above.”
Yours is a post of logic and reason — as distinguished from the other wishful thinkers posting in this thread.
And you’re dead-on with those numbers above. America is now “a divided nation”. On one side are those who contribute and produce; on the other side are those who do little more than “consume the benefits”, or who can’t or won’t produce enough to “cover their costs” to the nation and to the economy.
And the problem is that the “entitlee class” is slowly, but ever-growing.
This election will not serve to “bring the nation together”, but instead will exacerbate the divisions within. It will leave a most bitter aftertaste, which will be but a harbinger of more rancor to come in the future.
I remain cautiously optimistic that Romney can win, this time. But there will be no “honeymoon” for him or for his fledgling administration. It will be a struggle from the get-go, and the fixes the Republicans are able to fashion together to keep the nation going may work (at least for a while), but in return will earn the further enmity of the non-working classes.
I totally agree. The phrase "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind. When Romney wins, the media will be resentful and they will give him no quarter. There will be no honeymoon for the Romney administration and they are going to inherit one hell of a mess. We also run the risk of getting blown out in the 2014 mid-terms and losing control of Congress if we don't get on the right path quickly.
Still, it is better than the alternative (Obama winning a second term). At least we will have the opportunity to set the country on the right path again. Let's hope that Romney is a better executive than he is a campaigner.
My numbers say Romney will win the popular vote by a solid 14% and perhaps by 20%. Even the liberals are upset with Zero.
Twenty years ago we sent Dinkins for a walk in New York City after one disasterous term.We have not heard from he or his buddies since.
Good to hear!
