CBS story quote, about half-way down: “He said Stevens, 52, and other officials were moved to a second building - deemed safer - after the initial wave of protests at the consulate compound. According to al-Sharef, members of the Libyan security team seem to have indicated to the protesters the building to which the American officials had been relocated, and that building then came under attack.”

On another post, one of the embassy staff sent an e-mail that the Libyan security guys were taking photographs of the place the night before.

It's my understanding that the State Dept has leaned heavily Left for some time. I would imagine this ambassador that was killed was strongly sympathetic with this administration's policies regarding their approach to Islam and the Mideast. So now I wonder will other Lefties in the State dept. possibly reconsider their ideology for the sake of their own survival? Obama considers them expendable. Do they?
