I’ll be happy to eat crow re PA. I just think money will be better spent elsewhere, esp. VA.
thought VA was full of liberal union gov workers
You were absolutely right about previous years though.
I agree, this team seems to know how to win, I am going to rest easy for a bit on this, and again I post stuff like this to get others feedback, ya or nay as a reality check...
Especially after Romney is supposed to have Macomb County and was working on softing up Oakland the other day....
See perdogg's apparent debunking links in #37 et al.
Admin, shite like this is agitprop authored and/or encouraged by the enemy with the goal of spreading FUD.
Like him or not, I seriesly doubt that Romney intends to roll over like that lapdog McCain.
No offense taken, I even asked the Admin (w/out doing it directly) to do so if it was hooey...
It would surprise me if they let OH languish... maybe they’re just waiting til closer to election day.
Virgil Goode doesn’t carry enough name recognition to be an issue anywhere. The battle in VA will be in Northern VA, the DC suburbs — lots of govt workers/contractors, lib-types and minorities but also LOTS of wealth. There’s plenty of folks there feeling some serious cognitive dissonance right now.
DISINFORMATION.
Nice try.
Been here forever Walrus, I asked it and got many responses like yours, I do it for feedback i.e does this pass the smell test...
See #68
See #67 above and consider givin’ the guy a break ?
never give up....never surrender
What a bunch of bunk. Finally, as of last week, Romney can BEGIN his advert offensive. We’ve seen him fight hard...there’s no way in hell he’d be throwing in the towel less than a week after nomination.
Eric at Talking Points Memo obviously doesn’t realize many candidates lay low during the opposition’s convention.
“Give up hope”...riiiight. What a maroon.
The original source of the story is AP.
The Detroit News says the other side is not spending money in Michigan either.
“The Republicans met last week in Tampa, Fla., where deputy campaign director Katie Packer Gage told the Michigan delegation that Romney “’will never pull out of Michigan.’”
The best pro-Romney commercial this week has been the DNC Convention. Why waste money?
One Romney group is buying $9.3 million worth of time on broadcast television and the internet for the commercial, which will air in the battleground states of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
Romney’s campaign bought approximately $6.3 million for commercial time that began Tuesday and will run for a week, according to the Democratic source.
The buy breaks down this way:
Colorado: $600,000
Florida: $1.3 million
Iowa: $500,000
Nevada: $500,000
New Hampshire: just under $100,000
North Carolina: $700,000
Ohio: $1.4 million
Iowa: $500,000
Virginia: $1.2 million
Future: They have over a 100 million to spend on ads... If you think they are not going to advertise in the states mentioned to make Obama waste resources you been hit with a silly stick.
“Time is short,” said one campaign aide. “We have $100 million we’ve just raised. If you look at our burn rate to date and our cash on hand, there’s not much more we can spend on infrastructure. So we’ve got to start spending our general election funds in a big way, because you know what the value of that money is on the day after the election? Zero.”
If you got a look at Eric, you’d understand.
