Tax cuts didn't lead to massive deficits, it actually brought in more revenue for expenses. It is the 2006 midterm election that turned over the Congress to Democrat majorities that did the spending that caused the major escalation in the deficit.

And slow job growth? What could possibly impede any business wanting to grow? Could it be managing expenses? Expenses like taxes and complying with government regulation.

He doesn't even understand the problem. The media doesn't want to present facts that make reality difficult for Obama. And now Democrat supporters can get exited over this nonsense economics this week. If the implications weren't so serious I'd have a good laugh at some of the locals as they express their anticipation excitement...

"Remember in those years, in 2001 and 2003, Congress passed two of the most expensive tax cuts for the wealthy in history," said Obama. "And what did it get us? The slowest job growth in half a century. Massive deficits that have made it much harder to pay for the investments that built this country and provided the basic security that helped millions of Americans reach and stay in the middle class==things like education and infrastructure, science and technology, Medicare and Social Security."

Shuckin' and jivin', and even his empty chairheads can see right through it...

Obama: Limited Gov't That Preserves Free Markets 'Doesn't Work. It Has Never Worked'

He says while standing in a nation whose rise of freedom and prosperity has exceeded all historical precedents in speed and magnitude and has been so phenomenal that it has literally lifted the lives of half the inhabitants of the planet to a level only the very wealthy knew only two centuries ago.

0bama is a cretin.

"'[T]here is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, let’s respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. 'The market will take care of everything,' they tell us," said Obama. "If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes--especially for the wealthy--our economy will grow stronger.

"Sure, they say, there will be winners and losers," Obama continued. "But if the winners do really well, then jobs and prosperity will eventually trickle down to everybody else. And, they argue, even if prosperity doesn’t trickle down, well, that’s the price of liberty.

"Now, it’s a simple theory," said Obama. "And we have to admit, it’s one that speaks to our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government. That’s in America’s DNA. And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But here’s the problem: It doesn’t work. It has never worked.

"It didn’t work when it was tried in the decade before the Great Depression," said Obama. "It’s not what led to the incredible postwar booms of the ‘50s and ‘60s. And it didn’t work when we tried it during the last decade. I mean, understand, it’s not as if we haven’t tried this before..."

Ping for later

So simple, even a leftist politician could understand it, this video ought to be required educational material every year starting at age 5:

The Collapse of The American Dream Explained in Animation

My eight year-old understands it.

. . . But centrally planned economies work marvelously. Just ask what’s left of the soviet union.

Incredible statements by Zero. This is some good material for GOP campaign adds. Zero seems to be completely ignoring the huge, almost uninterrupted economic expansion starting in 1981 and running all the way to 2001 that was fueled by the Reagan tax cuts and policies of limited government by Reagan, Bush 41, and to a lesser extend by Clinton. Clinton’s tax increases slowed the economy during his first term, but we were pulled out of that sluggish economy by one big factor: the initial build-out of the commercial internet starting in 1995. Without the internet boom we would have had another four years of sluggish economic growth in Clinton’s second term.

This speech by Obama is filled with false and amazingly foolish statements by King Barry. The Romney/Ryan team should get some video or at least the text of this speech and start going through it to find statements that can easily be proven to be false by our economic history. There is some great material in this speech for Romney attack ads.

Free markets allow greater participation by the People in the economy. Only a fascist would talk like this.

(Art., quoting Obama) "....mortgage lenders that tricked families into buying homes they couldn’t afford, ...."

This is pretty damn brazen, coming from one of the Perps of the First Part, talking about the housing bubble. He was ACORN's of-counsel in the New York case in the late 90's that forced banks to lend to uncreditworthy borrowers for the purpose of buying houses they couldn't afford.

This guy and the rest of his ACORN wrecking-crew were the trick-perpetrators, not the mortgage companies and banks.

"It didn’t work when it was tried in the decade before the Great Depression,"

Actually big government crony protectionism was a large contributor to the depression.

"It’s not what led to the incredible postwar booms of the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Is he suggesting that we use our air force to physically destroy the industrial infrastructure of our international competitors? That is, after all, what led to the post-war boom.

And it didn’t work when we tried it during the last decade.

He can't seriously be suggesting that we had anything approaching free market capitalism with a low tax rate, can he? It's been about 100 years since we had anything like that.

The way this man can lie makes me think that he really is Satan himself in disguise. Unbelievable!!! I HAD to check and see if this was a satire. It isn't. Again, unbelievable!!! How could anybody of prominence get away with giving this speech in the United States of America, and he is the acting President? I am so shocked. He is pulling off his mask and strutting about as a Stalinist and he isn't being tarred and feathered and ran out of the Country.

I am printing this speech and distributing it to all that I can. I may tack it on telephone poles and say read what your communist President has to say about the USA and how we have thought and how we have run our Nation since it's beginning and weep, and vote him out.

Everyone tack this around the city you live in. Send it to everyone. Do our Conservative commentators know about this unbelievably anti USA, communistic speech??? This cannot be buried, but this speech must have accountability.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I think that Satan himself lives in this man.
