Members of the Constitution Party affirm 7 basic principles: see the 5th principle below for “Constitution”
Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
Property: Each individual’s right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
States’ Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government, nor prohibited by the Constitution to the states, is reserved to the states or to the people;
American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.

Excellent post, SoCon.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 - Abstain from all appearance of evil.
The Apostle Paul is very clear in Romans 3, you do not choose evil because you think it will result in good.
Romans 3:8 "8 Why not say--as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say--"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved. "

Hi, GSC. I’m not voting for Romney. I refuse to “vote for/support/sign my name to” a candidate who approves of killing babies and of homosexualism.

What’s his take on original intent with regard to abortion and capital punishment?

That the Declaration offers the best interpretation of “life” in regards to the 5th amendment is what I would guess based on this and other articles I’ve read.
To be clear, I have never met or talked to the man.

Cool.You'll no doubt love 4 more years of Osama Obama.It'll give you extra time to stock up on those food packets with a 20 year shelf life.And,needless to say,ammo.Lots,and lots,and lots of ammo!
To: Gay State Conservative
Romney supports gun control, GSC. I’ll have to stock up on ammo in any case. And he appoints liberal judges.
In fact, I think I’m picking up both a larger caliber rifle and pistol and ammo.

I've seen arguments with regard to original intent being divined from the Declaration. Those arguments stand in contrast to the absence of any federal legislation in the early years, when the Founders and the people who were involved in the drafting and ratification of the Constitution were in power.
I struggle with the proposition that we're going to enact legislation according to the original intent of the Founders that they themselves did not enact when they were in power.

I have no doubt the Founders would be aghast at a future court finding a right to kill a baby in their meticulously argued Constitution.

Like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, some things never change. Thanks for the synopsis.

Well said.
You know, I really have to laugh at the ignorant saps who actually believe that Romney is going to “save” us from Obama.
It’s all part of the shell game. The right hand of the governing party gets to drive the car for a term or two now. But the car’s still going in the same direction.

Yawn.
If we elect Romney, we’re pretty much getting four more years of Obama anywise.

My prediction: you won’t be here for your one year anniversary.

Oh... Well... In that case. I bow to your far superior douch-baggery...
Look at you. You puff up your chest and start bloviating about 'taking up arms' as if you're John effin' Wayne, and you assume that nobody else has prepared and/or is packing the gear to prepare themselves. Further upthread, we had the following exchange:
mkj- Do you purport the notion that YOU, FReeper 'Dead Corpse' are infinitely wiser and more knowledgeable than those patriots? [referring to Palin, Gingrich, Santorum, Cain, etc. supporting Romney & Ryan against 0bama]
dc - I know exactly where I am on that scale. The answer would probably make you re-think a few of your presumptions.
All hat, no cattle. You're wasting our time.

Is your Christianity as situational as your ethics?
I'll tell you what, you circle around behind me, bend down real low, and kiss my ass. I don't answer to you in such matters, I answer to Almighty God and if you and xzins are going to start church services and start bashing everyone over the head with the Bible, head on over to the Religion Forum and do it there.
America's house is on fire. 0bama started the blaze. Romney & Ryan are the only shot we have at putting out that fire. If all you and your ilk are going to do is piss gasoline on the flames, then it's time for you two morally superior beings to GTFO.

Judgement Day, my FRiend is not going to be real friendly to you if you keep supporting people so blatantly anti-Christian.

Goode would eliminate automatic birthright citizenship I really hope he means that anchor babies won't be albatrosses around Uncle Sam's neck, and not that every single person in the US, legal or illegal, has to go through the citizenship process.
