This general is the one violating his own principle. Why is HE getting involved in the fray?

Oblabla has lowered the bar for all positions. It is the way he gets obsequious, brown nosing, boot licking, lickspittle general officers like Dempsey. (I know it is redundant but the very image of it conjures the lowest demeaning position I can say here).
Military is supposed to be above politics. Civilians, even retired general officer civilians, are off limits for comment or ridicule.

Haven’t heard of the wounded, read it was hit by a rocket while on the ground, but it makes me wonder why just this plane? Infiltrators just passing on info?

Not to mention Ike and, for that matter, JFK, Harry Truman, Jimmy Carter and even George McGovern. Partisan nonsense.

I recall 2 wounded from the radio report over the weekend. Haven’t heard ‘who’ or ‘how bad’. Not even sure if they were military personnel or part of the civilian entourage.

Maybe they do while serving their country in the military.
Now these men are serving their country OUT of the military, and they are right.
Obama has to go, Now General go back and place your lips firmly on Obama’s buttocks, maybe he will not notice that you were gone long enough to make a fool of yourself.

US military chief General Martin Dempsey denounced ex-officers Tuesday for waging a campaign against President Barack Obama, arguing that soldiers had a duty to stay above the political fray. Yo Marty! Secretary of Defense Allen West! BOO!

Campaigning in uniform and at work. Goodness where is the FEC. Bad general, Seems like the blowhard is so used to covering for Hussein that he thinks this is part of his job too.

Well, according to DHS profiling, these same decorated veterans of the clandestine war on terror as now in the "risk group" for domestic terrorism. This is becoming more and more like Weimar Germany and early developing National Socialism. Or perhaps the last few years of the Reich during WWII when the Abwehr and Prussian military serving leadership were put on trial, imprisoned and executed for daring to counter (in the absence then of an electoral process of course) the Great Dictator. Quite eerie.
The opsec people are saying "stop the leaks" and more precisely asking... why are you leaking these details?

US military chief General Martin Dempsey denounced ex-officers Tuesday for waging a campaign against President Barack Obama, arguing that soldiers had a duty to stay above the political fray.
Wading into a potential minefield during a hotly contested White House race, Dempsey voiced his disapproval of a group of retired military members and CIA officers who have accused Obama of spilling sensitive national security details to help secure his re-election. Sounds to me like Dempsey is politicking by telling RETIRED officers not to express their opinion of the Kenyan Communist!
To: kristinn
I was still in the military, I would still openly defy Obama. I did the same thing when Clinton was in office.
To: kristinn
I just looked up lickspittle and there's a picture of you, Dempsey.

The general, a soldier, says soldiers should stay out of politics. First of all, didn’t he just get into politics with his statement? Second, soldiers have nothing to do with those ads. They are now civilians.
Idiots like this in charge so just what kind of trouble this nation is in.

This old goat must be afraid of losing his precious pension, the most prized possession of the Pentagon crowd.
These military men are patriots who took an oath to protect America and her Constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. They are doing their duty in spite of bureaucrats like Dempsey. Knowing the Chicago thugs in power, they will be facing retribution for daring to stand up to The First Dictator.
