unfortunately, he represents us and our platform which means we all own him and his position and his comments. he will be an albatross tied around the neck of every republican. The MSM will see to it. guaranteed.
Pat Buchanan, Part II.
you think it’s about misspoken words? it isn’t. You’ll find that out when it’s too late.
Well, that’s a relief. Such a Conservative stalwart on all but the really important issues.
From today’s WaPo:
Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) penned a letter to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Preiebus urging more inclusiveness on the issue of abortion in the party?s 2012 platform. ?Media reports indicate that the Platform Committee will consider draft language opposing a woman?s right to choose and supporting a constitutional amendment banning abortion. I believe this is a mistake because it fails to recognize the views of pro-choice Republicans like myself,? Brown wrote.
Only when the Rs let the narrative be set by the truth challenged Dems.
If you know of a pro-life Republican politician who can win a statewide election in Massachusetts, I’d like to support him too.
the dems largely control the mass media; therefore, they largely control the narrative. This particular narrative ain’t going away.
Beats Teddy Kennedy. The libs think Warren is their next Obama. She must be stopped. I’m all for 100% die-in-the-wool conservative candidate in the states where they are realistically electable, provided they can answer simple questions about their positions without turning themselves into a national joke.
Just don't run a John McCain like campaign and the chances of defeating the Dems increase significantly.
What Massholes do is their business, but to have this weak sister make appeals to the Republican NATIONAl Committee to water down a plank for the whole nation really frosts my a$$.
You beat me to it. My thoughts exactly!
I agree, but it's just useless chatter.
He will move the RNC not one millimeter towards his position.
It helps him appear all mavericky to the squishes he needs to vote for him in Massoftwoshits.
Of course you are correct.
I am amazed at the folks here, those I call the “gloom and doomers” who take any bit of negative info as it is splashed across the lib media and use it to immediately proclaim a disaster.
These arwe people who, if Reuters put out a story from an anonymous source saying a Republican was reported to have farted in Church, would declare the election lost.
There is NO CHANCE, NONE, NADA of a “Conservative” getting elected in that State in the foreseeable future. Politics being what it is you take what you can get and get it anyway you can within the law.
It's more than just numbers in the Senate although they are important. Taking control also means committee chairs, and deciding what and when legislation comes to the floor for a vote.
Dead on!!!
Do you understand that this is a Conservative Forum?
Do you understand that the current GOP-e leadership in the House and the Senate has entrenched stalwarts as Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Graham, Collins, Snow and others in positions of power as committee chairman?
Do you understand that these people helped establish House and Senate rules that allow them in lame duck sessions to vote in the next sessions leadership positions from the same old pool of compromising and compromised pols?
Do you understand that this throttles the newly elected members and therefore throttles the power of the electorate? That would be us.
Ponder on that and how it relates to effective reform of the situation.
As I said, Massholes can do as they want, but don’t go bragging on Brown or the others. Reflects poor on you.
Finally, you haven’t “beenaround” here long enough for us to figure out who you really are.
See you around.
Brag? I didn't brag about anyone. I simply stated a FACT which I herein restate. A Conservative as you would like will NEVER be elected in a State such as MA at this time. It seems you would rather see Brown defeated and a Dem installed as the Senator even if it means not retaking the Senate.
"Finally, you havent beenaround here long enough for us to figure out who you really are".
LOL, who I am is a guy who has been lurking on this forum since about 1997 as I do on about 15 other political forums. I seldom actually join because as so often happens being judged by how long I have been a member rather than what I have to say causes me to lose patience as well as interest. I joined because this is the most important election in my lifetime and I voted in the 1960 election.
"See you around."
Hopefully not. Small minded one dimensional people bore me to distraction.
