Salaried disruptor? Aren’t you ever right? Take some pride at least being right some time - it will serve the site well ‘if that is your aim’.
Excellent post - no more needs to be said as it says it all. Thanks!
You’re “wrong”. Obviously wrong. Hugely wrong. Stupidly wrong. Blindly wrong. Dishonestly wrong. Embarrassingly wrong. Morally wrong. Biblically wrong. Totally wrong. Plain wrong.
Does it not occur to you that as preZ, MR would have to cave in to all the Dem demands in order for your ‘logic’ to be held true?
Is the whole point of electing a ‘conservative’ to STOP the advance of the Dem/lib agenda/laws?
How does one do that by refusing to veto their legislation?
Sorry Deb. Even the abject idiot I spoke of earlier could see the truth of that. If you do not, well...it speaks poorly for you.
At least 40% of the Republican voting base is hard core Conservative ~ and within that Conservative cohort there are a number of coalition partners as well. Some of them probably don't even think of them as Republicans.
We are intertwined.
However, the crowd you want us to bend to command at most 15% of the Republican voting strength ~ they are a small minority. They, themselves, the GOP-e gurus, are a miniscule part of American politics.
The other 45% is a mishmash here and there of all sorts of interests, some of them strictly business related, or social class, or regional interest.
Why would I think a goon squader would comprehend ANYTHING?
First I put on Stupid repellant, but as we see, it didn’t keep you away.
Me: “Pray tell, what manner of idiot goes along with something simply because he cant win?”
You: “Youre wrong. Obviously wrong. Hugely wrong. Stupidly wrong. Blindly wrong. Dishonestly wrong. Embarrassingly wrong. Morally wrong. Biblically wrong. Totally wrong. Plain wrong.”
Please try to keep up. Prove my statement is incorrect or sit silently in your ignorance of reality.
Obviously wrong. Hugely wrong. Stupidly wrong. Blindly wrong. Dishonestly wrong. Embarrassingly wrong. Morally wrong. Biblically wrong. Totally wrong. Plain wrong.
You can prove ourself "wrong", just google "Romney vetoes". You and your fellow goon squaders will notice he vetoed (1) the gay marriage bill (2) tuition for illegals (3) HUGE portions of the Democrats healthcare bill and over 800 others. The Democrats overturned 700 of his vetoes.
So you're saying he shouldn't have vetoed them? He shouldn't have fought them, campaigned against them or personally petitioned individual legislators? Gee, you guys lie about him when he did everything he could to stop the things YOU SAY you wanted stopped. So I guess you're right, he shouldn't have bothered.
Deb, what forced him to put his sig on all those gay marriage licenses?
Deb, tell me why his veto pen did not work 100% of the time if he disagreed with something?
Deb, tell me, “pray” tell me, why he has the history that Jim used to have posted on the front page of FR?
Was it all a lie?
Here’s a thought. Stop trying to make the man something he is not. Vote for him. Be happy. But don’t rewrite history. He is a lib and you are voting for him to solve America’s problems. If you are good with that, great. But be honest about it please.
Personally, I will not vote for a man with his record. And I’m good with that.
It'll be okay, though and I really appreciate your sweet concern.
(my cappuccino maker is also on the fritz, but I didn't wanna bum you out) Air Kiss!
;-)
Poke, you're it.
Faced with Tip O’neil, Reagan didn’t go along to get along. You might read his bios sometime. And his journals.
I’ll just live with his ignorance while you help blaze a brave new world for the GOP/America. Just pick a different name for your creation once you achieve it.
Look, our choice this election is between a Mormon and the grand high pooh-bah of the Anti-Church of Obama. There is NO Christian running for the Presidential office this year that has a chance of being elected. Even the Constitution Party candidate isn’t in enough states to get 271 EVs.
Whether or not Mormonism is a cult (and I agree that it is), it’s going to be one of those two in the Oval Office next year.
We also know from the Bible that God has used pagan rulers to achieve his ends. See: Cyrus and Darius of the Persian Empire. See: the Pharaoh that the Lord sent dreams to that Joseph interpreted. It wouldn’t be a disaster to have a Mormon as President.
Which Presidential candidate would be more likely to advance Christian interests? Which candidate would be more likely to be pro-life, pro-family, etc? Romney may be a flake, but better a flake that occasionally makes the right decisions than a self-worshiping lunatic with a Messiah complex that will continue to kill babies, wreck marriages, and tax the rest of us into slavery.
We’re not going to have a perfect candidate, ever. Especially not now. The left-wing loons have forced this country to the left bit by bit in increments for years. If we want to get is back on the right track, we need to force Christian increments through in whatever ways that we can until the Republic is saved. To ditch Romney because he’s not conservative or Christian enough is nothing but surrendering to the leftist incrementalism that’s been killing children and wrecking marriages and worse for decades.
So what was he supposed to do? Nevermind, I don't care what you think he should have done. You're a liar and a fake conservative.
I’m voting for a conservative. You are voting for a liberal.
Romney has the record he has, it’s out there and it cannot be scrubbed no matter how hard you try.
If your brand represents what conservatism has become, I want no part of it.
Dude. So are you saying that those who think that Romney is the best chance we have to promote Christian values in this country in this election is damned?
Are you telling me that I have to vote for a Christian in an election where there ARE no Christians, or else I’m damned?
I’ve learned from my eight years training for the ministry that telling people that they’d better believe the exact same as you or else they’re damned is NOT the way to bring people around. If anything, it’s going to make them reject the Gospel because it’s being delivered with such overwhelming pride.
Are you really trying to be a witness to the Gospel here, or are you just strutting around proclaiming your moral superiority? Because if you’re trying to be a Christian, you’re doing the exact wrong thing.
I tried to stay away from them. Folks who stray far from Christian orthodoxy are kinda' in that same class.
Now just why would Romney promote Christian values, he’s a mormon.
