The drive-through line was already wrapped around the entire building, and we had to park about four sections out (technically in the next restaurant's over parking lot - it's all a shared parking area) just to find a place to park. When we got into the store, the place was PACKED OUT. I have never seen this restaurant this busy, even at the height of the lunch rush (~1230). The line with five registers running was still all the way out to the entrance. We stood in line for 5-7 minutes to be able to order.
Yet, even with them taking names for your order to play catch up, they still got our food to us in under five minutes. Tons of people making a political statement, and they STILL operated efficiently and professionally. Kudos to Chick-fil-A!
Lots of Durham city and county personnel taking in the food - Fire-Rescue, prison system personnel, Durham Co. Sheriff, even en entire ten-man Durham PD SET team (like SWAT) - only a fool would have tried to rob that store today! Apparently not everybody in the Durham government apparatus has the same views as the left-wing nuts like the mayor and city council members.
When we left the store at 1145, the line was still out the door, and the line for the drive thru was still wrapped around the building. Traffic was so thick people were having trouble getting out of the parking lot for the press.
Went for breakfast to the Grand Prairie, Tx, location. Drive-thru line was around the building. Crowd inside was filiing up fast. Going to the Arlington location for a late lunch.
Sadly, I could not have Chick-Fil-A for lunch because I only had fifteen minutes to get it. Swill Japanese food for me today.
Chick-Fil-A
Was Not The Way
To Go Today
(For me, at least...:)
I pulled in to the McDonald’s parking lot next door intending to walk over. The line was out the door. The drive-through was backed up out of the parking lot. I decided to go back and try again later this afternoon.
Cars backed up, had to wrap around the building twice then backing up traffic as far as the eye can see. I had to park somewhere else, stand in a long line. Like nothing I’ve ever seen before.
I have been to the local one before. I arrived early for lunch (11:15) since I figured it would be crowded.
The line was twice as long as it usually is. Took about 40 minutes to get through the line and eat. When I walked out, the line was about 5 times as long as it usually is. It looked like the people were there to stay, no matter how long it took.
The TV station was interviewing gay spokepersons outside, but I don’t think they photographed the line.
Can’t get out of work today...
Please post more pictures of lines of people and cars so I can send this thread out to the Liberals!!!
PLEASE!
I’m not going until after work but the Indianapolis lunch crowd has returned and they are saying the lines went around the building and you couldn’t find a space in the parking lot or any of the parking lots of surrounding businesses.
Just heard a news report on the radio that lines are out the door at CFAs here in Oklahoma, and it’s miserably hot today! Some people had to give up because they could not even get close to the restaurant.
May I suggest that if you can’t go to CFA today for whatever reason, how about if we make every Wednesday CFA Wednesday? If you are going to get a bite to eat on a Wednesday, make it a CFA day!
We will be heading there for dinner.
Went to Chick-fil-A for breakfast on 86th Street in Indianapolis... Eight cars in the drive through, and the counter was very busy, the employees said they have never seen the morning so busy.
It was the same here in Greenville,SC! Trying to get near the building was impossible. I couldn’t even get into the parking lot at Noon...guess I will have to try again later.
The main road and the side street were backed up with traffic(suprised the police hadn’t had to come to direct) but friendly Chick-fil-a employee’s helping out. I wouldn’t be suprised if they didn’t set a record for sales today.
The lines appeared to be moving smoothly and people weren’t fighting or causing trouble.....(I would like to think that is because of friendly type people that visit Chick-fil-a) Unlike certain groups that gather to buy the latest Air Jordans.
Can’t get close to the store here in Plano, TX. Cars wrapped around the parking lot 3 times, and 30+ people standing outside the door waiting to get in. We go there often and have never seen it close to this busy. Will try again for dinner when I don’t have restrictions on my time. Hope they have food left.
North Point mall in GA: busy but not crazy.
Getting reports of lines wrapping around standalone stores.
No Chick Filet near me, but i did my thing by ordering gear off their site.
FU LIBS!!!!! all of you!!!!!
It’s looking like Obama is going to lose to a chicken.
Reporting from Fort Worth,Texas! Lines coming out the door and cars around the block in the drive thru! The place was packed! People leaving with huge bags of food and gallons of tea! Still it was efficient and organized given the huge numbers of people and vehicles. Food is good.
The sleeping giant has awoken! I saw people of all racial and ethnic stripes too! There were Mercedes and beat up pick up trucks in line...no great class divide here.

I’m leaving work shortly to take an extended lunch break and drive 37 miles to the Chick-fil-A in Fairfield, CA!
