This isn’t just a local issue. This is a test run for what is going to go down in November.

The Dems assume that if we put up with it small we’ll put up with it large.

I think they are right.

this was only a Democratic primary; if the Republicans nominated a candidate, that would be for the November general election

A Republican would not be on the ballot, as this was a Democratic primary. Republican would be on the November ballot, but I do NOT know if anyone is running this year. In 2010 we had a pretty creidble candidate, Reverend Michel Faulkner, and yet he only got 10%.
