We are at $3.05 here, but I also don’t see any improvement here. It’s helping with the fuel costs for the tractors and such. But once again those are mostly ‘sunk’ costs where the on-farm fuel tanks were bought with more expensive fuel that will continue to be used into the fall harvest.

After a month in which his re-election campaign picked up momentum, hard economic realities are about to hit President Barack Obama as he takes to the road on a campaign bus trip through the Rust Belt.

The decline in gas prices is the biggest indicator that the economy is in a bad way. It would take a year or more of such a price to re-ignite the economy in any meaningful way.

I would venture to say that half of those who worship obama will get a cut in pay under socialism. And ALL of them will bring home less because of tax increases and a rise in premiums. Yet they’ll still vote for him.
