Roberts, it’s not a tax! The legislation was passed and sold to the American people as a mandate, not as a tax.

Why didn’t Kagan recuse herself since she helped the administration with obamacare.

I don’t care whether you call Obama and his administration Marxists, communists or globalists. They are all collectivists who hate America because our country stands in their way of obtaining complete control.

Where does this information come from?

Actually, this is the best outcome for future repeal because we can now run with the fact it is a tax. Lower courts will now have precedent that stuff like this violates the Commerce Clause. And ultimately, if the mandate was tossed and bill upheld, there would have been LESS incentive to throw it out, as we all know how little Washington cares about things not being funded. Now the GOP is energized to gut the bil.

The best outcome, undeniably, would have been Roberts voting with the 4 conservatives on the court to throw out the law in it’s entirety.

Kennedy,Alito,Scalia,Thomas all voted to throw out the whole thing.

The traitor to his country Roberts voted with the liberals to uphold it.

Actually, Justice Roberts Demolished Obama In His Supreme Court Ruling
Business Insider ^ | Jun. 28, 2012, | Grace Wyler

....But while Roberts may have saved Obama’s signature domestic legislation — and perhaps his reelection campaign — by siding with the court’s liberal wing, he actually did it in spite of Obama, not because of him.

Roberts’ opened his opinion today by declaring, unequivocally, that the individual mandate — which requires people to buy insurance or pay a penalty — is not constitutional under the Commerce Clause or the Necessary and Proper Clause. It’s a direct shot at the Obama administration’s defense of the law’s constitutionality, which largely relied on those two clauses, which give Congress the power to regulate commerce and to enact provisions that are necessary to carry out its laws, respectively.

Agreed. I would have certainly preferred to see it struck down.

I’m not happy today, but I am trying to find something good that could be very good for us in the long run to keep people from jumping off bridges here.

Doesn’t mean I don’t think the decision was wrong.

That just explains why his decision is political bullshyte instead of judicial conservatism.

Maybe this decision will work to bolster Robert’s reputation with the mainstream media, but the idea that it will help future efforts to curb federal power is nothing but a baseless hope.

It’s clear that the 4 liberal judges will NEVER cross to the other side on a controversial or high-profile case. So any future cases with the current court will continue to be 5-4 decisions one way or another.

I understand. There is nothing good about the decision though unless it’s that more people have had their eyes opened.

America died today. But you are right that we must still all fight to bring her back to life if we can.

God help us.

Please, Ruthie is a flaming leftists, and her little barry bastard commie demigod would try to appoint an equally leftist enemy, so how is that extortion? Don’t give the pirate Roberts the benefit of any doubt. He serves the enemies of this Republic and has little or no regard for the Constitution. In the last three rulings you should know now what he is in his black heart!

it’s going to be overturned. Period. And all at once instead of piecework.

did you forget the /sarc tag? I cannot believe you wrote that Roberts is brlliant.

All Roberts had to do is vote with Scalia, Kennedy, Alito and Thomas. They were ready to throw the entire monstrosity out.

Go and listen to Levin's show from today. It will be an education on the Constitution. The bottom line from Levin -- it is the most horrible of rulings. Levin said there is nothing at all good about this ruling. He said it sets a bad precedent that will take decades to reverse.

Roberts is an very evil man. He has willingly and knowingly betrayed our Constitution.

I pray that the evil Roberts regrets this decision for the rest of his anti-Liberty life.

Too funny. We were driving up California when this was coming down, listening to the radio, and I thought too. That Harriet Miers wouldn’t have done this!!

CHIEF JUSTICE ROBERTS IS A GENIUS.

Go curl up in the corner, suck your thumb and stay out of our way. We have a Country to save.

LOL. what childish, stupid, and unwarranted comments. Sad really to get so personal. But some people can't help themselves.

Stay out of our way? LOL. You have no idea what I do to fight for the Conservative cause.

Please try and stay out of the gutter, you will only embarrass yourself.
