Beach erosion is caused by many things... we have beach erosion in Florida where I live... It has nothing to do with sea levels rising - my back yard ends at salt water. I watch. Tides ebb and flow but the level’s been the same for decades.

Not only that but tectonic plate motion will put the whole thing in the drink, at two +/- inches per year going that-a-way. The downside of that is that the eastern snivelers will be slowly forced west——will have to put strict border control in place at that point to keep the Kennedy clan out of my neighborhood.

I’d like to know how they measured the depth of the ocean. Did they stick their big toes in the surf and say, “The ocean is rising. The ocean is rising!”
did they measure during high tide or low tide? Did they measure during a full moon?
The earth doesn’t orbit the sun in a perfect circle, the ordit is egg shaped, and every 11,500 years, the earth is the furthest from the sun. Which accounts for the Little Ice Age and many other climate abberations.
“The researchers predicted that by 2100, sea levels in the hotspot would rise by between 20 and 29 centimetres above the global increase, which most oceanographers predict will be about one metre.”
