I’m from Ohio and I’ll not vote for Obama or Romney.
I’ll encourage others to vote conservative: Vote Goode, Not Evil (the lesser of 2 evils is still evil)

Wow, you folks are a small, but vocal group. Almost gives the illusion that the anti-Romney folks outnumber those that will pull the trigger for Romney- whether it's ABO or not
I'd bet, if JimRob did a poll, you folks would be 20% or less
Welcome to FR, how was your first month?

I was a Perry supporter, so I was a bit more willing to listen on that.
However, when Reagan’s amnesty came down it was a different era. America wasn’t really in tune yet with the exploding population growth in Mexico that, in my opinion, has driven the illegal immigration.
It is more a “migration” than an immigration.
However, in the Reagan era there was some grumbling, but it wasn’t really a live-wire issue yet.

Jemian, I am well, thank you. But now worried about you. Please do not give up. Please see another doctor. I know well how frustrating this diagnosis process can be, but please try. Be well.

I live in one of those states, and am considering my options seriously, but they aren’t good options:
On one hand we have a guy who is taking us over the cliff at 100mph. Running against him is a guy who is driving towards the very same cliff, but only at 95 mph, all the while claiming he drew the map for the guy driving 100!
Not good options for America.

Reagans amnesty came down it was a different era. That's right, but look what it wrought.
Now we are willing to hang people like Perry who govern border states and must follow the federal guidelines while we overlook his better quality's.
We nit pick every candidate based on the most ridiculous personal crusades until all we have left is Romney.
Now many will nit pick Romney to death until all we have left is Obama. Huzzah! /s

It is not nit picking to proclaim Romney a liberal. He is a liberal. Go to Free Republic’s “Romneytruthfile” and read it.
He’s a certified, gold standard, true blue Liberal.
Ain’t no doubt about it.
Moreover, for me he’s not pro-life (in any honest fashion), and my religion prevents me from supporting anyone who would support taking another’s life.
Life is God-given.

I don’t know that but I’m so damned, bone-tired of Obama that all which remains is hope. I don’t have the definitive answer but I suspect you don’t either.

He’s a smarmy politician but he is Reagan compared to Obama.

Electing a new wave of Conservative Young Guns will soften the sting of voting for Romney. Yes, but it may well double the sting for those guys when they're in Congress fighting against a "popular" Republican president, elected on a landslide (ABO would be forgotten by 2014) who is on-board with the whole Green Con.
They'd have a heck of a time fighting him, the GOPe, moderate Republicans, and Democrats when he advanced his own brilliant solutions to save the planet. I guess maybe Romney will listen to them on foreign policy? Social issues? Taxes? Abortion? Health care? When has Romney ever evidenced the slightest conservative instinct?
If that bastard is going to get in there, I want it to be as squeaky a squeaker as it can be so that our Conservative Young Guns will have better odds. The same holds true for Obama -- those Young Guns could quietly, firmly dominate a beleaguered and despised Obama, and imagine the political blow it would be to Obama, not to mention how psychologically crippled he'd be, if he ends up re-elected not on a landslide or even a bare majority, but a plurality where two thirds of the people voted against him. EITHER WAY, Romney or Obama, the thing to help the "new wave of Conservative Young Guns is to give the next president, at this point guaranteed to be a statist authoritarian, an anti-mandate and put him on the defensive.
Barring the miracle I'm praying for that vanquishes Romney and raises a limited government conservative Republican in his place before November, I'm voting official third party for that reason.

Under the Massachusetts Constitution, the governor has the power to nominate and to appoint all judicial officers, with the advice and consent of the council.
Sounds like Romney had pretty considerable power. Romney's supporters try to put a positive spin on it:
Romneys own words on the subject might give us more insight into his thinking. Romney defended all of his appointments. He stated that With regards to those at the district court and clerk magistrate level, their political views arent really going to come into play unless their views indicate they will be soft on crime
Romney stated that his only criteria in picking lower court judges was that they were tough on crime, something he emphasized throughout his time as governor. Romney further elaborated by saying that his criteria would change if an opening were to come on the Massachusetts Supreme Court and then he would focus more on ensuring that the judge had a strict constructionist, judicial philosophy.
I think that's just piling it higher and deeper, myself. And we know that some of those appointments had profound effects outside of criminal cases.
