Scott is in big political trouble for getting a special prosecutor on the George Zimmerman case.

Why should Scott be blamed for that? He *should* have appointed a special prosecutor back when the evidence wasn't clear (there were days when that was true, just read FR threads from those days). That she decided to use it as a power trip and become indefensibly political should reflect only upon her, not Scott.

trying to take away our 2d Amendment rights and our rights to self-defense

That's ridiculous. There isn't one more pro-2nd Amendment than Rick Scott. From outright rejecting Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn's request to suspend CCW during the RNC, to (yeah, I'll say it) packing the Stand Your Ground panel with pro-SYG advocates, Scott's been great on 2nd Amendment issues.

As I said before, Gov. Scott's big problem is that he's not explaining himself and the message is being lost. The fact that you, as a conservative, feel the way you do about one of the most conservative governors in the country is proof of this.

I agree completely. Perhaps, on the other hand, a President Romney can use his post-election bump to spend time in Florida knowing that it will be an important state in 2014, and hence his reelection in 2016. A popular president spending time with Gov. Scott would likely boost his numbers.

But I don't want to count the chickens before they hatch. Let's win 2012 first and then I'll armchair quarterback the Florida political scene for 2014.

I consider little political experience to be a major badge of honor. Where, exactly, have we gotten with “professional politicians”? These are NOT supposed to be positions for an entire career!

His approval ratings are a direct result of too many in the citizenry being idiots! And I AM a resident of Florida who is very fond of Governor Scott.

Yes, I know who, what and where Charlene is. I also know about that other ambulance chaser John Morgan. Before ol’ John started pimping for Obama, he was a big time prostitute for Al Gore during the count and recount in 2000.

They have a long history of supporting liberals and liberal causes which is precisely why socialist loving RINOs believe they need someone like Crist in order to “win.”

“What we know now is that if you run on a campaign of fiscal responsibility, making your state a business-friendly state, reducing taxes, reducing regulations, putting people in place that are going to be pro-business — because that’s where jobs get created, by businesses, then the public’s going to support you.”

Bingo. AND if our guys play to the press they'll lose - BECAUSE all the members of the press together in Florida couldn't elect a dog catcher...

Gov. Scott 'gets it' - Walker's way is the way..

Just a lot of bad decisions made by Rick Scott in the Martin/Zimmerman case. And, after the way Angela Corey made herself look like a major arse for trying to get Harvard to fire Alan Dershowitz for his accurate legal comments...Scott is going to have to remove Corey from the case. That woman is a total embarassment

Although Sam Nunn makes good points in his reply....Rick Scott pretty much subjected himself to a big primary fight for siding with Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson on the Martin/Zimmerman case. I cannot support a politican who is trying to take away my right to self-defense...and that is not going to play well with the Florida electorate
