Romney has fact checkers who regularly review Free Republic.
He's losing us guys, losing us.
Even his most ardent supporters here have difficulty coming out in the open and telling us how good the gay lifestyle is ~

Try as Romney may, he cannot get me to want to vote for him. He is a gay-loving, abortion-supporting world-class liberal, wearing Republican attire.
Romney, imo, is worse than a RINO. He is very scary!

Also, joint adoption by gay couples is only permitted in 16 states as far as I can see, not “all but 1” as Willard claims.

I might as well say it. The Democrats love Romney and if he wins, it will be because of their support. Obamma could not have an easier opponent than Romney.
The Republican party has lost their morals and their ways.

Just watched Romney’s speech at Liberty University. No matter how you feel about him, he did a fantastic job. Hit it out of the park.

As each day passes, more and more I seriously question whether I can hold my nose tight enough to vote for Obama’s opposition.

Romney, imo, is worse than a RINO. He is very scary! yes...and yet the alternative...with NO Re-election repercussions(as he told Medvedev) is so much more scary that I cant believe anyone here would stay home or vote 3rd party.

Obamma could not have an easier opponent than Romney. The only way 0bama isn't reelected is if he loses it on his own and THAT isn't going to happen.
Romney cannot beat 0bama.
He!! Romney can barely get some conservatives to hold their noses to vote for him!
And most won't...

It's a tough choice, but not as simple as "do you really want 4 more years of Obamao?". Willard would permanently redefine the party leftward. This would marginalize Conservatives for a generation (at least) and give the GOP-e the real mandate it wants: to tell Conservatives to sit down, shut up and get with the program. Is gridlocking Obamao for 4 years with a more Conservative congress and the possibility of a true Conservative on the ticket in 2016 a worse option than that? I wish both could lose, but I am not convinced that ABO is the best way forward for Conservatives. There is also impeachment, and the chance Willard will drop out. Heh, there is also the chance Willard will join Obamao on a unity tick after the convention.

"Just watched Romneys speech at Liberty University. No matter how you feel about him, he did a fantastic job. Hit it out of the park." I have no doubt he did. He's great at presenting the right face for the moment. Even his wife admits that.
Liberty University is in my hometown. I tried to watch a bit of his speech, but seeing him speak there made me slightly ill. I couldn't do it.

Too bad, you missed one of the best speeches I have ever heard him give. Heartfelt. You could see his passion, a product no doubt of his religious upbringing and missionary background.
He struck just the right tone not getting too political although his statement that marriage was between a man and a woman got a standing and prolonged ovation.
The person that gets me sick to my stomach just listening to him is Obama, our Marxist liar in chief.
